The location and house was fabulous. This was a cousins trip and everyone loved the house. There was confusion in communication. Twice, the management company responded to my emails and didn’t seem to read them thoroughly. Eventually, I had an appropriate response and they sorted issues out.
We loved our stay at Wildlife Manor! It was very spacious and had everything we needed from linens to cookware. We loved the beautiful view off the deck! Overall it was a wonderful stay in the perfect location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was so close to downtown Boone and a short drive from other “local” attractions. We really appreciated the large closets for pack-n-play sleepers, and there was entertainment and space for our whole family ages 1.5-65yo! The host left a sweet welcome gift, and was always timely and available when we had questions.
This was the perfect place for my friends and I to meet for the weekend. The kitchen, TVs, common spaces, and the theater were all bigger than anticipated. Could not have picked a better place for our stay! Would love to come back another time.
CONS We arrived to a dirty house with a leaking roof. Long story short the linens were clean, several of the comforters are not. Windows, tubs, dirty. The entire house needs a professional deep clean. (We even found a dried up shrimp tail on the kitchen floor) None of the recliners in the great room work properly if at all. We were advised the day before arriving the commercial size refrigerator wasn’t working…use the loaner in the garage. My mother in law used a lot of elbow grease and cleaned it herself!!! Most of the beds are extremely uncomfortable except for the few people who liked an extremely firm bed. PROS theater was comfy everything worked. Game room provided a lot of entertainment and laughs thank goodness. The kitchen is huge and was great for all the cooking we did. Both coffee makers needed to be cleaned. Spoke with several people at the management company Dominic by far was the only one who seemed to understand my frustration. Two young ladies came to clean the bathrooms and vacuumed…but the vacuum cleaner wasn’t working well….we dismissed them as they weren’t very helpful. The members of the maintenance team all came in with positive attitude and willingness to help. The roof leak, the fire alarms going off randomly, and removing branches from the driveway after the storm, also grateful for the young man who came to snake the tub and removed what we refer to as “the squirrel size furball. The frustration of so many issues definitely made for difficult times. If the owner addresses many of the broken items (which he’s known about for awhile) this would be a great place. But until those much needed fixes are taken care of we would not recommend it. If they are corrected I wouldn’t mind giving it another try as the space ans location was perfect. (Ages 22-74)
Property was well maintained and provided everything you would need for a weeks stay. The main fridge did not keep cold enough which made the fridge alarm sound off over night, (we made sure the doors were closed before going to bed but the alarm still went off) Thank you for the fridge in the garage. we moved most of the food into the garage. Water pressure was a little low, but not enough to be a problem. Over all, the house is a beautiful house and I would definitely stay there again, Thank you for the opportunity to use the house.
We stayed at Wildlife Manor to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. There was more than enough room in the house, plenty of entertainment options, and the location was wonderful.
My family stayed with several other families and we all had a blast! There was plenty of room for us all. I did however get my truck stuck in a ditch twice while leaving. So please pay attention if it is snowing! It is no joke! The cabin rental place was very accommodating and helpful. The only complaint was the internet or lack there of. So good luck trying to stream anything. We would definitely go back however!
We enjoyed the house and my kids finally saw alot of snow. i love to cook and kitchen was fully stock with all supplies. Just had pick up the food from walmart 20 mins away. The basement place to party and chill all night long. IF you want be stuck in room watching tv find different cabin they only got three tv. The views of the mountain are breath taking and snow falling on your face amazing..My husband keep the doors from the bathroom open at night while we slept to bring heat into the room worked great.
We arrived at the home at 3:50pm to find the exiting guests were just pulling down the driveway! While we were trying to get the management company on the phone, the neighbor started screaming at us that we needed move from the base of the driveway that we were trespassing in her driveway. We proceeded to the house and found it in the MOST disgusting condition! There were food crumbs EVERYWHERE! We had to start cleaning the house! I finally got a manager on the phone, she advised the cleaning crew would be there at 4:30. I asked if they were bringing clean bedding, she advised me that they will spray the comforters with a sanitizer. We are in a COVID Climate, spraying things between guests is unacceptable. Spraying the couches yes, but the blankets! I spent all night washing comforters so we could have clean bedding! The cleaning crew didn't arrive until 5:30ish and didn't finish until 7pm. We rented a house to limit our exposure and this situation left us completely exposed to others! The hot tub was green and needed to be dumped and refilled, leaving it unusable for the first night of our stay. Our children were outside playing when another neighbor started yelling at them, this was witnessed by a member of the clean crew. One of the neighbors advised my husband that the POA (property owners association) is in a legal battle with the owners in regard the home being rented. To say this was a horrible situation is an understatement. We didn't even receive a call back from the manager, checking in to see if the cleaning crew did a good job, if we needed anything, if there were any issues. I'm appalled at this entire situation.
