Nice home and yard close to town. The host was very welcoming and we enjoyed our time.
My family had the most amazing stay at Erica's house. The home itself is so beautiful and comfortable and the garden is spectacular. The trains did not bother us at all. In fact, it was our son's favorite part! The location of the house is great too. Super close to downtown, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Highly recommend booking your stay here. We wanted to stay forever!
Erica's house is charming and beautiful once you walk through the front door. She has done an outstanding job updating a historical home with high end details and amenities. Erica is super friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with our rental car being too small riding with luggage on our lap, and she was able to let us stop by early to drop of the luggage prior to check-in. My family all enjoyed her house and especially her backyard cacti. This was most enjoyable being right in the middle of downtown. We would have given this place 5 stars if we only were evaluating the things the owner has control over. In order to give an honest review, I must mention the trains. Unfortunately, the house is literally one/two blocks from a train track. The trains run all night long. One night there were about 15 that came through. That was the worst, but the other nights were about three to five trains. They are loud even using the provided ear plugs. On a side note, the location is inner city. If you are not used to this, you may not be comfortable. If you are used to country or suburban living, then this location may not be for you. But it was handy to be in the center of everything for shorter drives in any direction we went.
We enjoyed our stay at Erica’s beautiful home. From the well stocked kitchen, the lovely decor and the comfortable outdoor patio space-its a great place to stay and enjoy Tucson.
The property was nice. It's a little crowded with the décor but it looks nice. The manager was amazing but we had to call it quits early because the train horns were unbearable. Neither my wife nor I slept more than about an hour each. The property manager refunded 50% of our 5 night stay but had we known about the trains, we never would have booked. With this being said, it ended up costing us $1400 for 1 miserable night, which is pretty frustrating.
The property is stunning. The house was gorgeous, the garden was beautiful, the kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were so comfortable, and the sheets felt like butter. But what really set this rental apart was the host, Erica. She added such a personal and lovely touch to our welcome, and really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing short of amazing. Thank you so much, Erica. We can’t wait to come back. If you’re on the fence about this property, go for it. It’s worth every penny and you won’t regret it.
My family and I stayed at this property between Christmas and New Years Day. It was absolutely lovey. Erica went above and beyond to ensure our stay in Tuscan was the best it could be. Her hospitality and customer service was amazing. From promptly answering all of the questions I had prior to arriving and then the little touches upon arrival. Including a personal note and scrabble plates with all the guests names, made the entire family feel welcome. The property is in a great location very close to downtown and easy access to get anywhere in Tuscan. I know there reviews about the train and yes it is close … none of us had any issues - ear plugs are provided but we did not use them. The house itself has everything- you can tell it is from the 1800s with all the upgrades…. Just look at the pictures. From the amazing tub in the master to the kitchen which has EVERYTHING including upgraded appliances. One of my most favorite places on the property is the backyard!!! It is its own little paradise. It is very private and I think Erica has EVERY type of cactus out there not being from AZ this was a treat. The blooming vines and all of the birds that visit every morning is just magical. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy a cocktail or coffee. I would absolutely stay here again or any other property that Erica has without hesitation.
We found this 180-year-old multifamily adobe residence had been artfully converted to a comfortable home for our multigeneration family adventure. It was a great stay located in an old historic neighborhood right amid all the action, close to Downtown Music Venues, Restaurants & the Streetcar. Just off the freeway it was a buzz getting around on our sightseeing! If you value authenticity, but also enjoy comfort and convenience, look no further. El Milagro has thick original adobe walls & cool concrete flooring inside. Luxury linens on awesome beds, tons of plush towels, leather sofas, full sized washer/dryer, all delightfully furnished with solid wood colonial furniture, original art, and unbelievable designer touches. The bedrooms had original exposed beam ceilings; bookcases filled with local books to thumb through.. A large gathering table in the delightfully cozy dining room seated all six of us comfortably for a shared holiday meal. Our bedrooms had smart TVs w/movie channels; we were also able to stream Netflix & Amazon. The grand kids enjoyed the fast wi-fi. The armoire full of games entertained us with bellies full of laughter one evening! We relaxed in the private, high-walled garden, enjoyed the fountain, fireplace, gas grill, great patio tables & I took a siesta on a chaise lounge in the sun one afternoon. We found the kitchen to have everything we needed (& more) with stainless steel appliances-gas stove, dishwasher, full size fridge (the kids loved the in-door icemaker), coffee maker (with coffee provided), microwave, blender (had to make Margaritas), toaster, plenty of dishes, flatware for dozens, condiments, teas, herbs & spices for our stay! We most enjoyed our welcome wine and chocolates too! This home would be Ideal for couples/friends/families who want comfortable gathering areas for shared time, but also desire separate bedrooms & bathrooms. This is a home where you won't be tripping over one another, waiting for the bathroom, or hearing the people in the next room. It's a full-sized home, with great areas to come together, that just happens to be in the most desirable location in Tucson! Thank you, Erica for providing a great family retreat! We'll be back!
We highly recommend, El Milagro Del Barrio Anita, for a stay in historic downtown Tucson. Erica, the hostess went out of her way to communicate arrival information and property amenities. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed and more. The outdoor area is lush with native plants and has a large table with comfortable cushioned chairs. I felt like I was at a resort and made a point to enjoy my early morning coffee in this tranquil environment. The well decorated, exceptionally clean house is a perfect size with three bedroom areas and two bathrooms. A car is not needed since the house is within walking distance of wonderful restaurants, museums and nightlife activity. The historic neighborhood is quiet and filled with friendly families and postgraduate students. Thank you, Erica, we'll be back!
We've just returned from a wonderful stay in Erica's lovely El Milagro Del Barrio Anita! Erica is a delightful hostess who has lovingly restored this house with obvious care and appreciation for the architectural details that make these homes special. We found this to be a well-maintained, spotlessly clean (the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in, in fact), and an overall lovely home. This adobe home is exceptionally well-appointed, and Erica has left no detail to chance. We enjoyed fresh flowers, holiday poinsettias, wine, chocolates ~ all our names spelled out in scrabble pieces and fresh fruit for the week. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and abundance of fluffy luxury towels and linens. The master bedroom and master bath suite are surprisingly large and incredibly comfortable for a home from this era and the home will be hard to leave with the streaming sunlight and peaceful one-of-a-kind decor. With a toddler in tow - I really appreciated the Pack n' play, Highchair and ensuite laundry - outfitted with soap. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed exploring in the incredible back yard and we enjoyed family barbecues on the rear patio. Tucson friends and family who visited during our stay were charmed and impressed. We had to keep things neat because everyone wanted to look around. Our niece spent one night in the kids’ room and so loved the house that she threatened never to leave. The location is very central and was a great home base to enjoy the attractions and restaurants of Tucson. Erica responded very quickly to any questions via text and gave great recommendations! We would absolutely stay here again and are very much looking forward to our next stay at the beautiful El Milagro. Lots of great restaurants and attractions but a few we recommend highly: Desert Museum, Time Machine Miniature Museum, Botanical Gardens (although I think there were just as many butterflies in the back yard of El Milagro, as at the butterfly exhibit) and The Cup restaurant at Hotel Congress!
