We loved this apartment. It was perfect for our family visiting for a wedding nearby. My older parents had easy access. We saw an eagle in the tree at the river and enjoyed the deer. The signage at the road could be improved for not missing the driveway at night. It's easy to drive right past.

It was very peaceful. Family friendly. We saw a family of deer, a fox, and an eagle. Fish jumping in the Yellowstone river. We can’t wait to go back. Our host was easy to communicate with. And very accommodating.

Absolute awesome location on the Yellowstone river. Great placer to stay if you’re there to fish. Still not sure where the “pool” is unless they meant the trout pond. The lower floor doesn’t really have a good view from inside. However plenty of great views if you walk the property. Some nice outdoor chairs would have been a nice touch.

We encountered several issues during our stay that were not disclosed in the listing:Lack of Transparency – We were not informed that someone would be occupying the upstairs unit. It led to noise disturbances (sounded like kids running/stomping) and a lack of privacy.Shared Property – The pond and surrounding land are shared with other cabins not mentioned in the listing. Expect other guests walking and fishing the property.Limited River Access – No defined path to the river; guests must walk through tall grass/weeds.Bedroom & Bathroom Challenges – Beds are tall (needed a stool for elderly guests), no clothing storage. No hand soap in either bathroom, and inadequate toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and toilet paper) for 4 ppl on a 10-day stay.Cleanliness/Practicality – No doormat; gravel and dirt tracked inside. Only a broom available—no vacuum.Air Conditioning – AC is controlled by the owner/host and not guest-accessible. Even after requesting adjustments and receiving a window unit, bedrooms remained warm at 71.Noise/Disruption – On July 4th at 7 pm, the host began weed-whacking while we sat near the river in the evening, despite our presence and the national holiday.Unauthorized Entry – Host entered the property to address internet issues without prior consent or notice.Pest Concerns – Mouse traps were placed throughout, including beside beds.We recommend the host update the listing to reflect these realities so future guests can book with accurate expectations

Tom and Jyoti are great hosts. Very responsive in all communication, and their property is just as depicted in the pics. House was spacious, clean, well appointed, and perfectly located right off the highway - 30 min from Gardiner and 15 min from Livingston. Great stay.

Beautiful location. Signage to find it off the highway needs improving — old, faded, small sign that is not legible. They did give detailed directions once we were on the road where the house is. Exterior of house looks a little rough, but nice inside. What could be improved would be to get rid of the mouse traps in various areas, glassware in cupboard needs a good scrubbing, dirty kitchen dish sponge (a new, wrapped one would be more appealing). The beds were comfortable and it was clean overall. Great water pressure in showers. A path to easily get down to the river’s edge would have been helpful.

This is a great location for a family or friends to stay if you are visiting Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding area. You will be close to great restaurants, small western town shopping, hot springs to soak in and fishing. We were two couples sharing this spacious, walk out, basement apartment. It is nicely set up with two fairly equal bedrooms and baths. The common family room and kitchen are well appointed and comfortable. You could easily prepare meals for a family. The location is amazing! The Yellowstone river is just over a berm and beyond that the magestic mountains! Beautiful! We enjoyed one cloudless night and the stars were dazzling! The milky way in full view! Our hosts were responsive and accommodating, willing to help with anything we needed. We would be happy to visit again.

The Wild Rose was absolutely perfect for our stay outside Yellowstone. The property is secluded and perfectly located right between Livingston and YNP. Everything you need for groceries is right down the road in Emigrant. Tom and Jyoti were super hosts who were easy to reach whenever we had a question. We will 100% stay again when visiting the park or family in the area.
