** We place the utmost value on our guests' experience at our property so we are disclosing that starting August 26, 2024, our road will be used by heavy trucks accessing a neighboring property for construction access. This access will continue through the fall, pause for the winter, and resume in the spring 2025, and then continue until July 2025. The access is restricted to taking place Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 7 PM. These times correspond with the time when the vast majority ofour guests are out enjoying Glacier National Park, and the surrounding area, so we believe the inconvenience and interruption will be mitigated by this. We have reduced our pricing to reflect this possible inconvenience.
Our cabins are ideally designed to accommodate two couples and their children or a family, providing the perfect setting for a peaceful retreat. We invite elopements, honeymoons, and other small events with pre-approval (unfortunately, bachelor or bachelorette parties are not permitted). The cabins span two stories with a daylight basement level and decks. The lower level is accessible solely via exterior landscape steps, ensuring privacy between the levels. For families with young children, please consider this prior to booking. The upper floor features a fully equipped kitchen with all necessary amenities and more, while the lower level offers a kitchenette furnished with a microwave, toaster, mini-fridge, and Keurig coffee maker.

The cabins are fully equipped with high end furnishings for a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy a relaxing hot tub or a visit to the indoor sauna to unwind after an active day of skiing, golfing or hiking. Each cabin has a private fire pit offering everyone the chance to share stories of the day and a s'more or two. There is a 24' tipi that is a shared amenity for all guests to utilize on a first come first serve basis.

Whether you're here to enjoy the beauty of the National Park, hike or ski the surrounding mountains, explore the shopping and restaurants of Whitefish, or simply to unwind and reconnect with nature, 2 Cranes Cabins can provide the perfect base for your adventures. Book your stay today and experience the ultimate in comfort and tranquility in one of the most stunning regions of Montana!

We offer an outdoor firepit along with firewood. As hosts, our passion for outdoor fires and s'mores is unmatched. However, our commitment to preventing forest fires necessitates our authority to limit the use of the fire pit based on weather conditions, local fire risk, and Flathead Valley Fire Restrictions.

Because you will be visiting and staying in a cabin in the woods, in Montana, please understand that it is quite possible that you will seasonally encounter deer, bears, wild turkeys, mountain lions, flying insects including mosquitos, wasps/yellow jackets, moths, spiders, etc. The cabins are equipped with insect screens, but on occasion when the screen doors are opened, or left open, one or two may get inside. We are happy to provide assistance if this were to happen. We will not honor refund requests as it relates to the above mentioned critters.

If you are visiting in the winter, please understand prior to booking, that you will need all-wheel, or 4 wheel drive to easily access the property. We provide snow removal services for the road, parking areas, walkways and steps , that said, from the end of October to April, you should plan on snowy, icy, and slippery conditions while accessing the cabins, in the parking areas, and between the two levels of the cabin. We will not honor refund requests as it relates to the above mentioned matters.

The cabins are not handicap accessible. If you, or any of your companions are needing handicap accessible accommodations, we will not be able to provide this. We will not honor refund requests as it relates to the accessibility mentioned above.

The cabins are located on a small hill overlooking a creek. There are sticks, rocks, trees, bugs, bees, etc. Though most children love their experience here, there is the risk of cuts, scrapes, bruises, etc. If you wish to bring young children here, it is your responsibility to supervise and attend to them with the above understanding. Though we do provide a highchair, and a pack and play, the cabins are not child proofed in any way. If you are requiring child-proof accommodations, please understand that our listings are not. We will not honor refund requests as it relates to child proofing mentioned above.

Distances:
Airport - 8.3 Miles ( 14 Minutes)
Glacier National Park Entrance - 21 Miles ( 30 Minutes)
Whitefish Mountain Resort- 14 Miles (28 Minutes)
Whitefish Downtown - 7 Miles (14 Minutes)
Bigfork MT - 37 Miles (34 Minutes)
Meadowlake Golf Course - 1.5 Miles (4 Minutes)
Columbia Falls Downtown - 3.2 Miles (7 Minutes)

Guests will have full access to the immediate cabin area, adjacent forest and the creek the cabins overlook.
The host/owners of the 2 Crane Cabins reside in another home on the same property and can be available for guest interaction on an as needed or requested basis. We are happy to accommodate and interact as much as or as little as guests prefer.
The cabins are located on a private 13 acre forested property that offers privacy, abundant wildlife, and a creek. The property is located near the Meadowlake golf course, and neighboring properties are generally private homes on 5-20 acre parcels of forested land. You will very likely encounter more squirrels, deer, wild turkeys, than our human neighbors. We do have occasional black bears, and their babies wander through the property, so making certain to not leave food or garbage outside is a requirement. The bears are fun to observe as the wander through the property, you will just want to make sure to keep at a distance from them, as they are wild, and we are living in their habitat.
Our property provides some walking opportunities, both in the woods, and throughout the Meadowlake resort neighborhoods. Many people bicycle and walk on Tamarack Lane and on the back road all the way to Whitefish, however we don't recommend it due to the lack of a bicycle lane or decent shoulder. Generally, you must have a vehicle to get around the area and an SUV is ideal. If you are visiting in the winter months 4-wheel drive is strongly suggested if not a requirement.

The cabin is situated to allow maximum privacy. Everything is top notch and our stay could not have been better! A on all accounts. Top of the line finishes and the hosts have thought of everything we could have possibly needed or wanted. We loved the outdoor fire pit stocked with wood, hot tub, suana, ... It's a 30 minute drive to Glacier Natl Park.

Our stay was great. The cabin was amazing. The owner was very responsive and nice. The only slight downside was some construction nearby, but we didn't hear anything during the day. A truly great spot.

Our stay at 2 Cranes was perfect. Beautiful place with all the amenities. The bed was the best we've ever slept on away from home. The hot tub, cold tub and sauna were absolutely amazing. Perfect recovery after hiking all day. We loved drinking coffee on the porch watching the wildlife on the property as well as the having a glass of wine in the evening and listening to the rain. Bliss!! The attention to detail is unmatched.

The cabins are perfectly appointed from the linens to the decor! It’s the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the Flathead valley! The owners are extremely accessible and make sure guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay! We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation and rejuvenation of the hot tub and sauna after long days hiking and skiing.. We will most certainly be back!!!

Upon arrival Kelson meet us and showed us around their amazing property! He answered all our questions about the property and the area! Gotta say the bed was so comfortable, the sheets and pillows.... amazing. I wish I would have asked what kind they were so I could have them at home! Thank you so much for such a peaceful, wonderful stay! We will definitely book here again when we come back!

We had a wonderful stay during our visit to Glacier National Park. The owners were extremely helpful and sweet. The unit provided everything you could possible need or want. The hot tub after a long of hiking was a bonus. The property was very clean and beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend this property and looking forward to planning our next trip back to stay here.

There is not enough time to review how great our stay was!!! The hosts are so kind and helpful, communication was awesome. The property is GORGEOUS inside and out. The house was incredibly well stocked and everything felt (and was) high end. I can’t begin to name all the little personal touches that made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to stay longer!
