The House of Lydia Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful Queen Anne-style Victorian home, circa 1883, that sits on a charming tree-lined, cobblestone street in a quiet historic neighborhood near downtown Lynchburg, VA. The historic Garland Hill District is dotted with other grand period homes and churches from a bygone era that make this area unique and interesting. The house exudes old world charm with 10 ft. ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors throughout. The 3 upstairs bedrooms are well appointed and comfortably furnished with period antiques, all with king-sized beds and each with its own private bathroom with thick towels and plush, luxurious robes and all-natural bath amenities that soothe. The largest bedroom features an old French brass canopy bed with an organic mattress adjoined by a deluxe spa -bath with an air-jetted tub
and rain shower combo with a marble surround. Downstairs, the common areas to be enjoyed by all, include a front parlor with a fireplace, a dining room, and a screened side porch with an old swing and rocking chairs & tables for alfresco dining. The House of Lydia features a lovely front yard garden area as well as a rear masonry-enclosed courtyard for off-street parking and a private garden area resplendent with fragrant blooms in Spring and Summer.
Incredible experience. Rich with Lynchburg history and cloaked in the Holy Spirit. Miss Bonnie is trustworthy and very friendly. We will stay here again!
