Update.... the hot tub is not heating up at this time.
Great secluded location with beautiful view and swimming pool. If you like country living this is the place for you. Commercial ice maker in garage is a nice touch. Two small observations: Bed count seems off, which did not make any difference to our group because we were smaller and kitchen could use a little better cooking pots, pans and utensils. If you are not used to living or staying in the county the hot water has an odor. Not an issue as it it just the water reacting to the anodes in the hot water heater.
Loved memories made at Mobley Ranch home! Kids, adults and grandmothers had a great time. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend this home if your planning to be away from the city. Thanks for allowing us to make wonderful memories with family!
The description and icon images on the bunk room makes it seem like that room sleeps more than it does. If the VRBO description says the house sleeps 20, not sure where the other 5 sleep as there were only beds for 15. Was listed as 4 full baths but only had 3.5. Outlets in the bunk room don’t work and there is a heavily stained area on carpet in bunk room. There were several lights that did not work. Upstairs bedrooms had smoke detectors with the battery compartment open and no battery inside. Deep cleaning needed especially for fans and return air vents on the ceiling. Also the splash pad bathrooms needed cleaning. Don’t expect to have reliable internet. The pool and BBQ pit area was fabulous and lawn and grounds were beautiful. There was plenty of AC! Our family made it work for us. The open living and kitchen spaces were great. We enjoyed being outside and looking for animals. Very peaceful and quiet.
The pictures don’t do this place justice! Amazing getaway for many people. We loved everything about it!
This was a beautiful property on a gorgeous piece of land. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is pretty remote but we see that as a plus not a negative. Hayley, the manager was very responsive and the owner couldn’t have been more friendly. There was plenty of sleeping areas and lots of spaces for people to gather and visit both inside and out. The weather was cold but sunny. We lit a fire in the fire pit and everyone was very comfortable. We loved watching for the wildlife. We would definitely come back. As a matter of fact a couple of the guest are planning to rent in the future. Strongly recommend the property to anyone who doesn’t mind a slightly remote stay.
We came for a game day weekend but regret that we were not able to spend more time just enjoying this home and all it had to offer! The kids loved the play area and wildlife both inside and out! Don't plan to just pop into town if you forgot something - three miles off the main road ;makes you think twice about that! Definitely would do it again if we have the opportunity.
Once you arrive at the home you’re in for a great time. The home is large and plenty of space for you and your guests. What the description fails to mention is the home is basically a hunting lodge about 30-40 minutes from College Station. It seemed like the home does not get a ton of use (which is understandable as it is a specialty home) as there were some large wasps throughout the backyard and in the BBQ grill. The home uses well water and has a bit of a sulfur smell when showering. Last, all the beds (outside of the one in the master bedroom) were more suitable for one big person. All that said we loved our stay there. The stars light up at night and the pool was perfect after a day in the heat. Air conditioning was great and it was a joy to stay there. I just wish we knew all the details I stated initially going into it. Hayley (the host) was great and very informative and replied promptly. I can’t appreciate her more. Hope y’all have as much fun at the house as we did.
House large enough to accommodate all the family. A little far from College Station but a GREAT house if you just want a relaxing vacation. Would definitely stay again!
The property was beautifully designed and.the pool was extremely nice. We enjoyed every minute of out stay. We love the privacy of the property. Perfect for family reunions of all age groups. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
Very secluded house on an exotic ranch. Wonderful pool! kids really enjoyed it! Great kitchen and living area. Master bedroom has 2 queen beds & en-suite bathroom. Study turned into bedroom has king bed with a bathroom down the hall. Upstairs has bunk room , 2 other bedrooms with queen in each. All share 1 upstairs bathroom. Overall good place to stay.
We loved the setting, the property, and the house. The manor is set well off the main road down a long gravel driveway. It is extremely remote. We almost made the drive in our Sprinter Class C motorhome. Very glad that we didn't as we would not have made it down the long driveway. The owner stopped by and visited with us. He is very nice. The house could use some TLC. Many lightbulbs are burned out. AC filters are clogged. My allergies were on high alert. Everything considered, it was still a very enjoyable place for the family.
Property was perfect for a group of 20. Not too far out, so we also had a few day or evening visits. We went on a 4+ hike around the property enjoying all the wildlife and tons of butterflies. We especially liked watching the cardinals feed their babies in the tree just outside the kitchen window. Everything was clean and plenty of room to work in the kitchen and the grilling area outside. Yes, bring bottled water as suggested. I would bring one nice large knife. They just didn't have a tall bladed one and that is my preference. They had plenty of long skinny ones.
