Stayed Jun 7, 2024We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. We loved the views and the lake access and the home was perfect for our extended family group. Close to the cool town of Whitefish for groceries, restaurant and shopping. Also so easy to get to Glacier entrance! Highly recommend! The ONLY downside is the parking issue but we worked that out. Hope we can come back soon!

Stayed May 29, 2022Our stay at lovely Whispering Pines was nothing short of spectacular! The property was top notch and exceeded our expectations. The owner was very responsive and very easy to communicate with. Having a coffee or a glass of wine on the beautiful balcony was a balm to the soul. I would definitely recommend this property.

Stayed Jun 20, 2021The house is super charming and the lake is heavenly. The valley is under construction which made for some obstacles, but Karen was very fair in her response to the unexpected construction noise. We would definitely recommend this adorable property.

Stayed Sep 8, 2020This house is a gem. I could not be happier with the house, location and interaction with the property manager/owner. The location is stunning and the house was built with every detail in mind and the furnishings were impeccable. The house feels like a home and the owner was extremely responsive to anything I needed. Highly recommend!

Stayed Aug 4, 2020Had a really terrific stay in Whitefish and highly recommend this home. I've stayed in quite a few VRBO properties around the country and let's just say that often the photos exceed the actual experience...not here. The home and pictures are as advertised. Karen was gracious and responsive and very easy to deal with. The home is only a couple of miles from the town of Whitefish for restaurants and groceries. The combination of access to Glacier (30 mi), Kalispell airport (20mi) and access to the lake was fantastic. Something to be aware of for a larger group: the driveway and parking access is VERY tight. Thankfully we had a mid sized SUV and were able to use the garage. If you drive a large SUV parking will be a challenge. The ONLY reason I didn't give all five stars was NOT the fault of the owner. The check in was a challenge and was several hours later than it should have been. The blame was solely on the party who rented prior to us. The prior party left the house so dirty and unkempt that the cleaning process (which was done beautifully) took longer than expected. Bottom line, we had a great stay and recommend unreservedly.

Stayed Jul 1, 2020My husband and two teenage boys spent a magical month at Karen's home, which is beautifully appointed and an ideal location. At home, we spent our time reading on the porch and watching the lake, swimming off the dock, making s'mores in the fire pit, going for a paddle in the canoe and SUP, tying our rental speed boat up at the dock, using the fireplaces when it was cool, sitting on the dock and watching the sun set and the moon rise, cooking meals in a kitchen any chef would love, taking long luxurious baths in the tub, playing games and watching movies. From the home, we could easily bike into town, to Cowgirl Coffee for our morning lattes or to the nearby state park. The ski mountain resort is less than a 10 minute drive away, Whitefish has a robust hiking trail system, and we could easily get into Glacier National Park before the crowds. This month was exactly what my family needed and the home truly felt like home. Karen is also an incredibly responsive and gracious host!

Stayed Sep 8, 2017My family and I came to visit Whitefish the second week in September. Unfortunately, we had to share the area with the horrible fires that have ravaged through Montana. We were lucky to still have great weather and a few clearer days to enjoy the sights and the lake. We were an all adult group and the house worked out great. All the rooms were comfortable and all bedding and towels etc were clean and fresh. There was plenty of cooking utensils for us to eat and cook at home however, a few additional pans would be a great idea for the larger groups. This home is on a hillside so that makes parking and access a little harder. It is a split level home with a lot of stairs so take that into account if you have elderly or young children that might have a hard time with stairs. Parking was extremely tight even for small cars. We had one large pickup that we had to park on the main street and walk down to the property. The view from the home is stunning and every room has a view to the lake. We rented a pontoon one day and went out on the lake and even had plenty of room to pull it up to the private dock. Overall we had a great time and would definitely visit the home again!

Stayed Jul 14, 2017The property is beautifully situated directly on the lake with easy access for swimming and other water sports for our group of four adults and two active, energetic teenage boys. Proximity to the park is very easy and the drive around is exquisite . The owner Karen is very easy to deal with and answered all of our questions in addition to providing information which was helpful to us during our stay. Do not hesitate to book this property!!!
