private, hidden community of longtime beach homes. Beautiful floor-to-ceiling views of the wind-whipped waves. Not enough beach to walk along, due to the king tides and nighttime low tides. House is fine for kids and adults, with a decent kitchen and a huge master suite upstairs.
A great place for a family to go together! We walked, played games, and enjoyed the beautiful views.
Didn't know that there are dolphins around here. They came by at dusk. Just right off the back patio. We also saw quite a few seal. The house is right on the water. It would be good for storm watching. There's a nice little rocky beach at low tide. Kitchen was pretty well equipped. Very comfortable. Responsive management. I'd stay again for sure.
This home has great supplies for cooking, comfortable beds, plenty of space and the hosts make you feel very welcome. The view is spectacular, and the spirit of the whale house is most peaceful and rejuvenating! Thank you for making this oasis of grace available for renting! We will be back soon! Well laid out for children, and adults. The kitchen has high end appliances and gives great space to cook while many people are present. We saw eagles, sea otters, great blue herons and spectacular sunrises and sunsets!
House is situated right on the water. It was fine for our group of 10. However, it sleeps up to 14 but there is very limited parking, so plan accordingly. A bit more comfy seating would have been nice for a large group.
This vacation rental is absolutely perfect! So many beds for people to sleep in! Great for a family reunion etc! Super clean and couldn't have a better location! Gorgeous views. Saw dolphins, lots of salmon jumping out of the water, and a couple seals. Kitchen is amazing and has all kinds of dishes, cookware and even lots of spices. Thanks for a great place. Memories to last a lifetime
My mother-in-law was absolutely thrilled with our stay at the Whale House. We all had a great time relaxing, playing games, and enjoying being out on the water. Beautiful spot!
Loved the house and the beach, lots of room for our grown kids and our grandchildren. The 2 kayaks were used by all and the kids swam every day. So nice to be able to watch from the deck & patio. Hope to stay at the Whalehouse again next spring or summer!
This property is well equipped and well placed on Port Susan for boating, kayaking, crabbing and just chilling and enjoying the view.
Perfect in every way!
We were so pleasantly surprised by the space- it’s even more gorgeous in person! As someone who’s never visited camano island before- I didn’t realize there was absolutely no take out delivery. We ate out at tapped brewery though and it was amazing.
Perfect for our knitting retreat. Lots of room. Great light. Good friends!
Beautiful location, well appointed, fantastic kitchen, nice bbq grill, as advertised, and as close as you can get to staying on the beach!
Clean and Location was fabulous. However, 1 ROOM was outside the heating area - and uncomfortable to sleep - also having no instruction to operate appliance was little inconvenient - We were unable to switch on In-Sink-Erator which was a nightmare every time dish washer ran.
This oceanfront house is very clean! Perfect for family. Loved the free provided kayaks, and there were plenty of space for parking. One thing to note was that some of the door knobs were loose. Also no AC in one of the bedroom upstairs which can get really hot so make sure you have the windows open. Also would be nice to have blinds in the master bedroom. Other than that, the house was very nice and would definitely rent it again! Thank you
This house hits the mark for many reasons, the access to the beach, the boat launch, the space. We love almost everything about this place. Beautiful Port Susan views and gorgeous sunsets! But, when you rent a house that sleeps 14 people you would expect to have supplies for 14 people. The toilet paper is the thinnest paper ever and we had several children with us. Bring better TP. The kitchen had 3 dishwasher tablets and a small (tiny) bottle of dish soap. We ran out of soap in the bathrooms and there were no refills and we also had to buy extra trash bags. For the amount we paid for the 4 nights we shouldn’t have to run to the IGA and purchase these supplies. While we love this house and will likely rent again, we will make sure to bring extra things with us.
The house is lovely and sits right on the beach. Loved having the fire pit for sitting around in the evening and enjoying the stars from the patio. Plenty of beds for big families and a beautiful master sweet with stunning views of the water. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils but could use more than one kitchen garbage bag and one dishwasher detergent.
We loved our stay! We had our first family reunion here! Loved the house. Loved the view!
We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and kayaking in the sound.
Good: Location is good. View is great. Plenty of beds. Some mattresses are great. There was a person locally available for any questions. Not so good: There were only one and half rolls of kitchen paper towels, and quality of those were not good. Fortunately we had ourselves, so we could use it. Also there were only two sachets of dish washing machine detergent, but good thing is the local Vacasa person gave us more upon contacting them. No blinds in the master bedroom. Bad: Metal bunk beds and the master bed make squeaking noise. They don't give new scotch-brite scrubs, asked us to use the previously used one (which was apparently sanitized). So we had to buy it ourselves. Kitchen is not well stocked.
