Stayed Sep 3, 2019This home should not be listed for renting out until some basic work is done, and the listing is revised to be more accurate. The location is good and it has potential, but one cannot simply clean up one’s elderly mother’s home and rent it out — with ancient wall-to-wall carpeting, her furniture and even the old bed linens. The coffee pot and dishwasher REALLY need deep cleaning, or probably replacing. One cannot say after a rental has been confirmed that the 1/2 bath mentioned in the listing is a porta potty (yes, seriously) on the front porch! Nor can one describe a rental as “pet friendly”, but only after the rental is paid for, then inform renters pets can never be left unattended or a fine will be levied (this can be said upfront in a listing). The many personal belongings would be a turn off to some, they were fine to me and did add all kitchen supplies needed, but this listing should not be on Travelocity until some changes are made.

Stayed Aug 31, 2025Easy, quick trip up to Crater Lake NP.Plenty of space in the house for a big family. Up to date appliances including airfryer. Train museum nearby is a hidden gem!Dollar General, gas station, casino, great drive thru coffee shop, and good burgers nearby. Did not read the fine print on the 1/2 bath when booking but ended up being a nonissue.

Stayed Aug 17, 2025Quiet and picturesque place to stay. The house very clean, with plenty of room. There is a Dollar General 10 minutes away for essentials, should you need it. Its only 40 minutes to Crater Lake, and there is also a wetlands nature preserve not far up the road that was nice to visit. Great place that seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but there is really a lot to explore within an hour or less of the location.

Stayed Jul 21, 2025This was a great house to stay in while visiting Crater Lake. The views were incredible and it was so peaceful and quiet. If you have extra time go see Train Mountain. It is close by and really fun. Oh and make sure you check out the stars at night. So incredible!

Stayed Jun 2, 2025Very comfortable. Only one bathroom which is downstairs but it’s just fine. Good shower. Kitchen well equipped. Andy was a great host. He spent a lot of time with us, partly just hanging out. I would definitely recommend and go back.

Stayed Jun 17, 2025We stayed one night on our trip back to California from Portland. Nice quiet place. A few cows slept in the field on other side of the fence so there were a few moos. Not fancy but had everything we needed.

Stayed Jul 17, 2024We stayed one night on our way to Crater Lake NP. The house is exactly as described, a western farm/ranch house with cattle on the property. It was cool to see them in the evening when we arrived and out grazing in their pasture the next morning. The house has everything you need and is very clean and comfortable. It does has one full bath and an additional very clean porta-potti right next to the house itself.

Stayed Jun 2, 2024Less than an hour's drive from Crater Lake, this property is situated on a windy plain surrounded by distant mountains. The farmhouse is well maintained, with many displays highlighting a proud family history.

Stayed Jun 6, 2024My partner and I booked this place as our midway stopping point driving with our dog from Portland to Tahoe & then back. After our 1st stay, we were really looking forward to our return trip. The house itself is a great farmhouse with a lot of charm. It was hotter on our return trip and the AC was already on upstairs when we arrived. The owner was just locking up when we showed up & was friendly. We did a little bit of cooking there and found the kitchen to have the tools/pans we needed. The porch is great as is the peacefulness, especially after the touristy Tahoe. Our dog loved walking the grounds and taking a nap on the front porch while we played cards. I would happily go back.
