This home should not be listed for renting out until some basic work is done, and the listing is revised to be more accurate. The location is good and it has potential, but one cannot simply clean up oneโs elderly motherโs home and rent it out โ with ancient wall-to-wall carpeting, her furniture and even the old bed linens. The coffee pot and dishwasher REALLY need deep cleaning, or probably replacing. One cannot say after a rental has been confirmed that the 1/2 bath mentioned in the listing is a porta potty (yes, seriously) on the front porch! Nor can one describe a rental as โpet friendlyโ, but only after the rental is paid for, then inform renters pets can never be left unattended or a fine will be levied (this can be said upfront in a listing). The many personal belongings would be a turn off to some, they were fine to me and did add all kitchen supplies needed, but this listing should not be on Travelocity until some changes are made.
This place is perfect for us. We really like staying here. The location and large area to park our trucks and boats is great. Tim, the owner is very responsive to communication.
I was ready to relax and see the Eclipse. We would have loved a clearer day with the Eclipse but I am pretty sure our host doesn't control the weather ?. Only one bedroom in the main floor so if you are an older group it might not work. We only had one kid with us and he loved the upstairs room with all the beds. It is out in the beautiful country so you might get some wildlife or critters. ?
Our stay was great! It was close to Crater Lake and others. We had unbelievable views--sunrise to sunset. The horses were an added treat-coming from Kentucky is a real compliment. Although my family captured wonderful photos, it doesn't even come close to seeing them in person. The host quickly responded to all my requests, too. This will be a must do again trip!
Great parking and 8 beds
We had a few hiccups but the host was quick to respond. The house is older but clean and the location was perfect if you are looking for a quiet stay.
The house was so charming, and perfect. It had everything we could have possibly wanted to comfortably take five kids through Klamath Falls and Crater Lake. We love the night sky, and watching the horses.
It's a secluded location where there's horses next door. It was wonderful to wake up and watch the horses. the sunset was beautiful. It's a great sneaky location for crater lake. It only took us 45 minutes to get to the visitor's center from the house. The owners were quick with responses but their emailed instructions are perfect. It wasn't really needed to contact them.
Everything was excellent. However, VRBO lists check-in time as after 3pm. E-mail after booking from owner says after 4pm. Had planned for a 3pm check-in.
Snugge and comfy. Enjoyed every bit of our stay.
Three bedroom, one bathroom cabin. Spacious home in a quiet rural area. Location was beautiful. Cabin was very clean and many necessities were thoughtfully provided. We would highly recommend this property.
Perfect place to stay if you need to get away from the noise of the city.
Definitely a peaceful stay. Beautiful home
The house was spacious and was a great location for our family to visit crater lake!
We spent the weekend exploring Crater Lake and surrounding areas, this was the perfect spot to come back to with friends to cook a nice dinner and visit and get up well rested and start over!
The rental is great, upon arriving the size on the outside was deceiving. It held our family of 9 comfortably. Lovely outside views of southern oregon. There is only one inside toilet, but it boasts the cleanest Sanipac Iโve ever used. Even in 100 deg heat the portable was not smelly. Would recommend
Clean and peaceful place to stay with a group of friends and family.
This rental was as described I VBRO. I do not like to be critical because our stay would have been better but it was over 100 degrees. We walked into the rental , although outdated, as described, was very clean. It was hard to breath as it was very stuffy. There were 2 portable air conditioners but it took 6 hours for the house to cool down. At 10 PM , it was cool enough to open the windows for fresh air. I do believe the owner is trying very hard to make this rental pleasing. It would have helped if the fans and ac had been turned on before our arrival by the owner or housekeeper. That being said, the pita potty was clean & not an issue. The beds were comfy and linens clean. There were plenty of dishes, pots & pans & utensils, which need to be organized and the old was thrown out. The cutlery drawer needs to be tightened because it is loose and falls out when opened. My husband said that only 1/2 of the large burner on the stove works. These are small issues that could easily be fixed. There were plenty of towels & cleaning supplies. The TV worked great and the Wi-Fi was wonderful and a pleasant surprise as when we booked, my son thought that it said no WI-FI. I really did not know how to fairly rate because perhaps in the winter, spring or fall, I would have given 4-5 stars. I just feel with the unexpected heat wave, the owner would have inquired if we doing ok, and opened up the house to air out and cool down. I would prefer that you do not make this public as we were otherwise happy.
We had a good stay at the propriety, the house has everything one or a family needs, it can accommodate a huge number of people. It was easy to find, owners communicated great and we are grateful for all the tips. The only issues was that even when there is portable air conditioning and fans, we had a very hard time cooling the house down after our arrival and in 95 F or so weather, we had a very hard time sleeping. We also left the outdoor umbrella open while we went up to Crater Lake and at our return that was closed, which was a bit strange and it felt as we were watched which made us a bit uncomfortable but other than that, a great place to stay while visiting.
We loved our time at the farmhouse. Everything was perfect. Very relaxing, peaceful place. Will be back for sure
Really loved our stay. Nice and spacious quiet, hop skip and a jump from Crater Lake.
This was a reasonably priced lay over for us and the dogs. It was quiet and peaceful and had all of the needed basics. I would bring drinking water along as the well water has lots of taste/smell going on. The host has great communication.
