Stayed Jan 14, 2026The host was great and had clear instructions as well as easy to communicate with. We had a group of 29 and it was very comfortable with everything we needed. The gathering area of the lodge was incredible! I would highly recommend.

Stayed Aug 8, 2025Overall, our families (24 heads in total) had a great experience here. It's a beautiful location. We enjoyed table-tennis and billiards at the lodge, and watching horses in their corral. The children would often just hang out on the couches watching television too. One night we used the outdoor fireplace near the cabin to roast some hot dogs, and marshmallows. Several of us also enjoyed fishing at the nearby state park. It was very clean when we arrived, except with the small exception that outdoor grills hadn't been cleaned. The cabin to lodge/bunkhouse distance was a little further than we would have liked. We shuttled back and forth in vehicles. The family staying in the upper floor of cabin said it was a bit too warm for their liking, but tolerable. The ground floor where my family stayed was fine. I imagine it would be better in cooler months, rather than August, or with some A/C work. The stairs leading from the bunkhouse to the lodge were a little iffy, and will likely need maintenance soon. We preferred to use the indoor staircase. So a couple of minor issues, but our families had a great time here!

Stayed Jul 27, 2025We had a grand week for our family reunion! Lots of room to roam! The forested area and creek behind the cabin was definitely a favorite for the kids and teens! The large great room in the lodge was a fun gathering space! The wildflowers, views, occasional rain, trees, etc., was all enjoyable and stunning. It is a great place to relax and unwind for awhile! Lisa, the property manager, is VERY responsive and helpful!Things to be aware of: 1. The cabin and the lodge are .25 miles apart....so a nice walk! (Or you can drive between them if you need to.)2. ALL areas are up or down stairs, so MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS MOBILE! For example, the kitchen in the lodge is down on the ground level, but the eating space and great room is up on the second floor. In other words, you will have no trouble getting in both your stairs and your steps every day! 3. This property is at 8500 feet elevation, which may take getting used to for some, but also the reason that it is pleasant and cool during the summer! Yea!

Stayed May 31, 2025All the charm of New Mexico and large homes with all the amenities! At first we were unsure of using two homes for our large group, but we decided it actually worked best for our group. The bunk house with large game room worked perfectly for the night owls and the large home for those who prefer the serenity of early morning coffee and wildlife watching. Beautiful property. We highly recommend.

Stayed Apr 25, 2025Really great property that our group thoroughly enjoyed for a retreat! Accessible distance from Albuquerque and lots of space. Facilities are on the older side and well used but very clean and in good working order. Some notes on the layout:The cabin is about a 10 minute walk from the lodge / bunkhouse. The cabin has 6 bedrooms, one of which has a loft above it with additional bunk beds in a space which would really only be suitable for older kids. The 5 bathrooms in the cabin are a mix of en suite and stand alone. The living rooms in the cabin are moderately sized, definitely too small for our group of 25.The bigger gathering space was the upstairs of the lodge. It's one giant room so gets a bit loud but has lots to do. There is a wet bar in the big room, and then the ground floor of the lodge has an industrial type kitchen moderately well equipped. You may need to bring some implements and would need your own aluminum foil and salt and pepper etc. Not many extras available. There are two full bathrooms in the lodge. The bunkhouse as mentioned connects to the lodge externally by a staircase. There are 6 bedrooms with a mix of full beds and bunk beds. There is very little floor space available, could barely fit a pack n play for reference. There are two bathrooms in the bunkhouse (men's and women's) which have an open layout with 2 showers 2 sinks and a toilet behind a saloon-style half-door. Not easy for multi-use unfortunately.Overall great property!

Stayed Sep 13, 2024We had our wedding at the ranch with our friends and families that we gathered at the ranch for an all week-end. People from 5 different continents gathered and everything at to be organized from a distance as we were at the other end of the world when we did our booking. This place and the service offered by its owner Lisa and her team made it possible and an unforgettable moment for everyone. If you ever plan an event for your loved ones in a magical place and breathtaking landscape, don't hesitate this is it !

Stayed Jun 29, 2024This was our second year at this property and the kids already want to go back again next year. It is an ideal location just outside Eagle Nest and between Angel Fire and Red River. The house and bunkhouse offered plenty of room for our group of 25. Everything was in order, but the biggest appeal is the land which offers plenty for us to do and enjoy and the surrounding beauty is amazing. It is close to a lot of hiking which is our favorite. This year, we were there on the Fourth and there was a parade in town and beautiful fireworks which we could see from the deck. The host was very responsive to any question I had by the next day if not sooner.

Stayed Jun 23, 2024A perfect spot for our large 4-generational family. The rooms fit everyone's needs and the game room was the center point for our activities. The cabin was also lovely and provided early morning wildlife viewing and a well-equipped kitchen for preparing a hearty breakfast each day. Not any fault on the location, but several members were in a love/hate relationship with the stairs (have to admit there are several floors to navigate, but worth each up/down step). The pond allowed catch-n-release fishing and spotting the 2 beavers made it even more exciting. And with the location between Eagle Nest and Red River, we had the opportunity to explore both plus Taos. The owner was easy to communicate with and even got us out of a minor jam after our departure. Overall, we had a most enjoyable time and would gladly return.
