The house was spotless and great location to everything!!
Great property in a great resort. Cozy and warm.
When we arrived to the property the first night it was 45 degrees outside that night. We all woke up freezing the next morning just to find out that the heat was completely off. I called the management company to see if we could turn the heat on but they wouldn't answer their phone. Later that afternoon we were doing dishes just to notice water pouring out from the cabinet under the sink. When we opened the doors under the sink there were two plastic bowls under the sink to catch water and the bowls were overflowing. No one informed us that there was a leak under the sink but clearly someone was aware. I called the management company again and still no answer. There is also no option to call a particular number if there is an emergency. From there on out if we needed to rinse a dish or needed water we had to use the half bath sink near the front door during our stay. After 24 hours of still not hearing from the management company I called again on day 3 of our visit. Someone finally answered our call and said they got our voicemail and they are working on finding a plumber. They also let us know that they were aware of the leak under the sink prior to our stay and that the owner said they fixed it. They did have a plumber stop by while we went out to dinner on our last night, but we had to leave the doors open under the sink in case his temporary repair burst they wanted us to be able to see the water. The house was a great size and had plenty of space but bring your own towels because everytime we would use one at the house there would be hair stuck to the towel. After brushing my teeth one morning I grabbed a hand towel that they had hanging up and while wiping off my mouth with the towel I could see a long curly pube hair on the towel in front of my face. Absolutely disgusting!
Great location and nice property. However, listing indicates there is cable TV and there is not. Highly disappointed with the TV situation, but other than that, we had a great time.
Our family of four (two adults and two children ages 3 and 6) stayed at this home over Labor Day weekend. It worked great for us. We didn't end up utilizing the bottom floor to sleep, but there are plenty of beds down there to sleep more people. The home was clean and well-stocked. It was an added bonus to not have to bring any paper goods or cleaning supplies. We were a short drive to the Rumbling Bald amenities. A great experience had by all. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
The house was perfect for two families with young children. Having access to the amenities at Rumbling Bald at Lake Lure was key. The little ones loved the pool and the beach at the lake. Lake Lure and the mountains provide spectacular scenery.
We had a great time at this location. Plenty to do. We golfed, putt-putted, swam at the outdoor and indoor pool, and went to the beach. The home was clean and had all you could possibly need.
We had a relaxing weekend tucked up in the mountains with plenty of privacy and all the creature comforts we needed.
This is our 2nd stay here. We had a wonderful time the first time with the house being clean and the location easy to get to with parking a breeze. We choose this house since it had two living rooms and wifi and I'm so thankful we did. The cabin has 3 levels, the main level with kitchen, dining room, 1/2 bath and the main living room with a fireplace. The TV has a roku remote with access to Netflix etc.. the living room has plenty of seating and ottomans and there's even wood ready for the fireplace, matches, and a desk with lamp. The kitchen has everything you need, pits and pans, cutting boards, knives, utensils, dishwasher with pods, paper towels, cleaners, dish soap etc.. the dining room is big with a large table. I love that each level has a balcony/porch. The top level has two bathrooms with a jack n Jill bathroom with closet with extra towels and toilet paper. The biggest bedroom up top has a TV as well. The bottom level (basement) has an enclosed porch with patio furniture, big living room with comfortable chairs, games, smart TV with DVD player and movies, a bedroom with TV, washer and dryer, futon, bathroom, and twin bed. There's heaters in the closets and a big armoire with extra towels, sheets and comforters. There's also a canoe out front but we don't have roof racks to transport it so we have never used it. The house is beautiful and would be perfect for two families. We had 4 boys and two adults the first time and 2 adults, a teen, preteen and 5 year old the second time and there was more than enough room. Our 2nd trip we had a hiccup where the cleaning crew didn't clean the property (they were notified of our pending arrival but unfortunately dropped the ball) but thankfully the instructions on how to exit the property meant the house wasn't too bad but arriving at 830pm, we were tired and weren't exactly happy to clean and wash everything. I reached out to evolve, the property management team and in a couple days received a response from the owners. The owners were wonderful and went above and beyond in making it right. I feel comfortable in returning again from the way Al (the owner) took care of things and his excellent communication. We highly recommend the Green River Adventures for water rafting. It was such a great time on the lower river (easy rafting). We also love Riverside Riding stables, Tammy is the best! Gem mining in chimney rock is something run and quick to do with the kids.
We traveled with 2 adults, 3 children and there was plenty of space for all of us to feel comfortable. Beds were comfortable, furniture as well. Home was very clean. The deck is a beautiful spot to have morning coffee. Close enough to Lake Lure & Chimney Rock - lots of restaurants and activities nearby! We would definitely stay again!
