Right on the beach- had everything we needed. Very clean

This is a lovely property right on the beach, and perfect for our 3-generation family spring break. So many personal and warm touches in the furnishings and a wonderful kitchen. Outstanding communication with the property owners. The only near-panic was what I think was a technology glitch with VRBO. After reserving months ago, I pulled up my reservation a week before our scheduled vacation to send a question to the owners - only to see reservation cancelled. I believe, as it turns out, b/c I paid via Affirm. Property managers responded to my panicked email immediately, however, and assured me we were indeed still reserved. And we were. A wonderful week!

The owners were excellent to deal with and had many nice extra touches throughout the home. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The duplex is ocean front with beautiful views. The duplex has comfortable beds, great gathering areas, a large well equipped kitchen, and is well appointed. We had a great time!

The property was spacious and well laid out. Beach access and view was top notch. Communication with owners was pleasant and timely. This was one of the most well stocked essentials that I have ever seen in a beach rental. Our entire family loved it and it was by far best week we have ever had at Emerald Isle over the last 15 years!

A very nice property, had everything you would need, the owners thought of everything. Well appointed, well stocked kitchen implements, amazing decks and views. Lots of thoughtful touches! A great outside hot and cold shower! The owners were very fast to respond to questions.

Perfect lower deck for shade while looking at the beach. Perfect upper deck for star gazing at night. Excellent outdoor shower. Super close to the beach and surf. Accomodating property management.

Every part of the experience at Xanadu was excellent. Easy to work with and communicate, a beautiful location & we love coming back!

We love this property. It fits our family perfectly. Suggestions for improving would be to have more glasses and silverware. Some of the frying pans were in rough shape. We love being able to all sit on the deck or all watch a movie together. It is a great place and the shorter walk to the beach was helpful for the older folks (that includes me.)We celebrated our fiftieth anniversary with our kids and grandkids and it could not have been nicer. Thank you.

We have stayed at Xanadu East for several years and we have enjoyed it immensely each summer. A perfectly appointed home in a perfect location.

This was our 7th stay at Xanadu East, and there are so many reasons we love this house! It's clean, comfortable, extremely well appointed, and provides amazing views of the ocean. The house has everything you need for a lovely week, so you don't have to bring much to have a great time. The hosts are so accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Xanadu East is just the best!

We stayed two weeks at Xanadu East. This wonderful cottage provided a restful haven to relax from life’s busy duties. Each day we awoke to the best sunrise’s and almost private beaches. The neighborhood was very quiet. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. What I liked best was how close the cottage was to the beach. There were no long treks to get to the shore. This encouraged us to use the beach more than usual. The host were great to work with. I had a few questions before my check in, and they were so kind and welcoming.

The property was perfect! The main living space was so bright and airy! House was clean and fresh and smelled nice. There was plenty of space for our family of 5. The property was very well stocked. The kids enjoyed all the beach toys and boogie boards. Great stay!!

The view from the decks and 2 of the bedrooms was unbelievable! We loved watching the dolphins! We had everything we needed including a very well equipped kitchen. Location was great for our trips to Swansboro, Morehead City and Beaufort. Living area was very attractive and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Great location. Wonderful space and venue

Directly on the beach. Large balconies provide breathtaking views with ample room for the whole family. All necessities were provided!

We enjoyed our stay at Xanadu especially being right on the beach. We spent a lot of time on both decks. It had plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and necessary kitchen items. It was nice that it had board games and books to entertain people, as well as great TV with a bunch of streaming options in all the rooms. There’s really only 2 good beach chairs there, so we were going to go buy more for our use. We’ve rented dozens of vacation properties over the years, and it’s always challenging trying to pick a property by a few photograph's. This is a very nice property but I feel it needs some updating. Especially the bathrooms. I read that the master bathroom shower was updated in 2024. I was very surprised by that since the glass shower doors seem to have a cloudy “soap scum” or hard water stains that wouldn’t come off. It looked old. It could also use a deep cleaning. I had to pull the bed away from the wall to plug something in and there was a bunch of dust /dust bunnies behind the bed and on the headboard. Unknowingly I mixed up our departure date, and the owner was very gracious to us and let us stay another night. We really appreciated that!

This was my group’s 4th fall girls’ trip. This space was the best we’ve found at meeting all of our hopes—great location, great beach, perfect accommodations, great amenities!! It ticked ALL our boxes! I hope we can come back in the future!!

Everything as described. Very short walk to the ocean. Great deck furniture on 2 decks. Excellent communication with host. Decorated nicely.

We loved the house! Right on the beach with the sound and view of the ocean from almost every room. Two balconies, one on top to watch sunrise and sunset and the stars at night and one below to relax in the shade during the hot afternoon sun. The kitchen was well stocked and the house had beach chairs and supplies so we didn’t need to lug them down ourselves (we drove a long way to reach Emerald Isle). And the hosts were very helpful, even shipping us back a coffee grinder that we mistakenly left at the house. Highly recommend!

Great location and house!

We love the location of this property. So many of our favorite restaurants and shops are close by. The beach is great, and the decks are perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, reading a book or just watching the ocean. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our time at this location. Everything came together for a great vacation.

Wonderful house on the beach perfect for family. We enjoyed the deck for morning coffee and evening snacks. The gates on the steps protected the 1 year old! Lots of beach items provided and easy communication with the owners. Ready to return next year!

We loved staying at Xanadu East. Even in super hot weather, the covered deck was wonderful.

We had a great time at this house. The house was right on beach and was very easy to go back and forth to beach. We loved sitting out on the lower deck during the day when hot because it was completely shaded. The host was very responsive to any questions that were asked. The top floor seemed very spacious with everyone there (we had a total of 8 people).
