Gold Canyon, Arizona
Casa Lana is located in a very quiet area of nicer homes on large lots near a cul-de-sac. While not a gated community it has that look and feel as everything is very well maintained. Our home sits on .28 acre with a privacy wall. The exterior of the home is adobe style and features desert landscaping (cactus and other foliage)out front and numerous small palms surrounding a beautiful outdoor pool, orange trees, lemon tree, palmegranete trees, and other cactus in back surrounding the pool and hot tub. From north facing back patio you can enjoy stunning morning desert sunrises and evening sunsets.
We love the territorial style of Casa Lana with high ceilings throughout the home and the serene and beautiful Gold Canyon area with wonderful views of the Superstition Mountains. The wildlife you occasionally see and hear and all the wonderful desert quail that are so much fun to watch.
The home itself is roughly 2,316 sq ft and was built in 1998. Interior floors are primarily tile with wood floor and carpet upgrades in the Master bedroom and two spare bedrooms. The interior of the home is very warm, inviting, and cozy. A large wood entry door greats you leading into a spacious open family room and the dining/kitchen area are just to the left of entry. Comfortable couches and a large 75" LCD television are featured here. A ceiling fan moves air nicely here to include all the bedrooms and Den. There is plenty of ambient lighting. The den for relaxing in off the family room includes a leather futon. A soaking tub, and separate walk-in shower are featured in the master with comfortable furnishings and a large 55" LCD television. A large walk in closet is also located here. In the same wing of the home are two separate bedrooms featuring a queen bed and double bed with nice furnishings. All in all a very comfortable livable home for short or long stays. Large garage houses both of our cars that are not for renter use. Parking for two cars is available outside the home in the driveway. A laundry room features upright LG washer/dryer.
This is a non-smoking home that is fully furnished without a need for anything except your personal belongings.
We ask that you kindly replace anything you use during your stay. We are also giving the option, since most of the year this feature is not needed, If you decide not to/to heat the pool during your stay, please indicate that in your reservation and the "custom" fee of $100 a week ($14.30 per day) will either be added or not.

Thanks!
This home is a spacious and well equipped getaway. We used it as a home base for work for a few days. Well situated with grocery stores and golf courses nearby, as well as mining clients of ours. Thank you for the great communication and comfort.
Love this home! Great neighborhood, nice jacuzzi, firm bed!
Problems with the pool heat but owner promptly refunded that cost, The only think that was not as advertised was the third bedroom is not a Queen but rather a double. We love Gold Canyon, the house was great.
This was our second time staying at this property. It is by far our favorite property. We have stayed at another one in the area, but this is our favorite. The house layout works out well, beds and linens are very comfortable, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Loved how the plugs had multiple plugs for usb. The hot tub was very relaxing. The hosts are so welcoming and get back to you right away with any questions. We will definitely be back on our next work trip.
This property is in a great neighborhood. It is quiet, private, spacious, and we felt very safe. The outdoor space is wonderful. Being so close to 60 made it easy to go just about anywhere. Property owner was easy to work with. Great stay!
We had a great time. Dean was very easy to reach when we had questions. Would be helpful to have a book with information about pool, thermostats, TV’s etc. Our only disappointment was the pool we paid to heat did not work first week (Dean refunded us) and the hot tub didn’t work the last week. Enjoyed playing lots of pickleball at a nearby court.
Clean, well maintained home in good neighborhood. Close to walking and biking trails.
The property was beautiful, everything we needed for our stay was there. Plenty of room to stretch out inside and out. Just wish we could of, stayed longer. Thanks Dean and Figen
Excellent vacation home, easy in easy out, Dean is an excellent host, home is well maintained and very nice.
Communication with owners was good overall. Slight delay upon check-in but things happen, which is how I would normally describe the situation with arriving to a dirty pool. I let the owners know immediately when we checked in on a Saturday afternoon and was advised that a storm had just come through and it would be cleaned by the pool service on Monday but that it should be fine to enjoy for the interim. However, the pool was also very cold as it turned out there was a filtration issue which seemed to not only prevent the pool vac from cleaning but also kept warm water from getting pumped in. After being out all day on Monday and hoping to finally get to enjoy what we hoped would now be a clean pool, it seemed that nobody had ever showed. I let the owner know and they explained that a new filter would be installed on Tuesday. I asked the owner to pass my number to the service provider to know when they would be arriving for privacy sake, but that didn't seem to ever take place. Instead, somebody finally showed up randomly on Wednesday afternoon to address while my wife and I were outside. Then again somebody that addressed themselves as the new pool cleaner showed up unannounced on Thursday afternoon. Aside from the pool (which was the main reason for booking), the home was nice and pretty clean aside from a few cobwebs. In 2 of the bathrooms only a half roll of toilet paper was left out, so some additional would have been appreciated. It's clear there is pride of ownership by the owners, but there were many personal items sort of out in the open which kind of makes it feel like you're crashing at somebody else's house instead of on vacation. There are tons of labels everywhere around the house, but perhaps a welcome book of some sort with some basic directions would be better. For example, all the satellite receivers were offline and needed to be rebooted upon our arrival. The outdoor patio cushions had all been stashed away in a pile so we had to place the ones we were able to locate out ourselves. We also could never locate the equipment to play the shuffleboard game on the side of the house. Overall we made the best of everything as this trip was actually our honeymoon. The location is great and the surrounding area really immerses you in the desert vibe. We just couldn't help but feel things weren't living up to the beautiful properties full potential & felt that the owners could have been more apologetic for the rather big inconveniences
