PLEASE NOTE:

-NO ATVS INCLUDING 4 WHEELERS AND DIRT BIKES, FIREARMS, OR FIREWORKS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY FOR ANY REASON UNLESS APPROVED BY THE OWNER.

-The Barn has a set of narrow stairs leading up to the loft bedroom. This may not be ideal for guests with mobility issues.

This is a fully private 12 acre property with everything you need to get away and spend quality time with your loved ones!

The Barn and paw pen are situated across from each other, separated by a large field that is perfect for chasing fireflies or watching the puppies get their zoomies out.

The Barn has a tile floor on the main level, laminate wood flooring up top and a patina tin ceiling throughout. There is a handmade live edge bar for dining and It even has an attached laundry room!

On rainy days, enjoy the 55 inch TV with a PlayStation 3 and a 4K Apple TV with high speed WiFi in the living room or the flat screen with a Roku upstairs from the adjustable Queen bed. There are also books and board games or you can watch the hummingbirds fly outside the window from the comfort of an oversized couch. Listening to the rain hitting the tin roof from the covered swing or hot tub just outside your door is so relaxing!
NOTE: A new shower/tub combo has replaced the previous cast iron tub for your convenience.

The A.C. units on both levels are cold and the beds, an adjustable queen and two twins upstairs, are very comfortable with all new linens.

Outside the Barn is a full size volleyball net and playground, charcoal grill, hammock, picnic table, and fire ring with 4 custom Adirondack chairs. (Firewood, charcoal and lighter fluid are provided as well as chair pads).
Additional outdoor toys are available in the laundry room including a glow in the dark badminton set, corn hole, and a kickball).

Four long range walkie talkies as well as a Monster Glo Bluetooth speaker are provided for your stay.

There are no neighbors in sight, only the songbirds enjoying the suspended bird feeder cable in the field the the occational owls chatting throughout the day and night.
(Check out the pictures for other potential visitors passing through).

-This part of the woods loses power often, but not Fern Holler! The 18kw generator ensures that you never lose power during your stay in the boonies!

Try and find the two silly tree faces! One is next to the “reading nook” where you can watch the creek pass by. The other is next to one of the winding paths, which leads you to the Island, a beautiful, shady oasis and the perfect place to splash around!.

For all of you looking to get into nature but not sure where to hike, there is a family sized walking trail that starts at the Paw pen and comes back out on the other side of the field via a moderate hike to the top of the property line and back.
-THIS HIKE IS NOT FOR THOSE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES. It is however marked by colorful tape that helps you stay on track.

NOTE-pets are allowed with an extra $25 non-refundable deposit.
Please-no pets on the beds and clean up after them as you normally would.

We can't wait to host you at Fern Holler!

I can not say enough good things about this stay. The property was beautiful, no amenity was spared by the host. We loved the barn and hot tub. We will definitely be returning.

Very lovely property. We loved the privacy and space. The outdoor experience here is magical. Definitely on our list of places to visit again. We arrived with groceries and never left until we went home. Beautiful . Charlotte is wonderful and very accommodating. 10/10.

We absolutely loved our week. All of my kids loved being able to run outside and just enjoy nature. It was perfect to have my mom in the glamper with her dog while we stayed in the barn with ours. It gave her, her own space away from everyone. Great location to run in to town for anything you need. Charlotte communicated quickly and efficiently. Everything we needed was there for us We would love to come back another time.

There are many things that were great about our stay. The property owner couldn’t have been any nicer or more helpful. We were able to get an early check in and when the weather turned ugly she proactively reassured us about the back up power generator. She even left a welcome note and lovely bouquet of fresh flowers. While the space inside the cabin is a bit tight, the space outside is vast! Before the rain started we really enjoyed the playground, a little hike, and breakfast around the fire pit. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate so we had the spend about half of our stay inside. The small size of the living space would have been no problem at all had the weather been nice, but that’s just not something anyone can control. One thing I will add for grandparents who aren’t as spry as they used to be or travelers with younger children, the stairs up to the sleeping area are quite narrow and steep and have a taller length between steps than we are used to. Our 4 year old grandson managed them pretty well after we got used to them. The grandparents struggled with them a bit more, especially on those middle of the night bathroom visits since it is downstairs. But if you are traveling with kids a little older and adults a little sprier, you probably won’t mind them at all.

We really loved this place and we’re now now considering it as our go to destination with our pups. The creek and the surrounding forest were so beautiful and we felt like we belonged. Charlotte was awesome making aure that we have everything that we need and that our stay was comfortable and relaxing. We’re definitely coming back and I’m recommending this place to anyone that want to be away from the crowds and still have the best accommodations. We’re missing this place so much and really felt like home there. Fern Holler Rocks!!!

This was our 2nd time staying at this magical property. We had an absolutely wonderful time, and the host was extremely responsive and accommodating. The location and amenities can't be beat! They have provided everything you could need, and more! The grounds were well maintained, paths through the woods were visible and clear, and I didn't have to worry about my kiddos getting into poison ivy when walking through the easily accessed areas to the creek. Our dog was able to be off leash the entire trip, and thoroughly enjoyed the open field for fetch, and we all had the best time exploring the beautiful creek. We roasted marshmallows by the fire, had numerous animal visits in the mornings and evenings, enjoyed the hot tub everyday, and the glamper was a huge hit for my Mom and littles. This rustic cabin/barn getaway gets an A+ from us!
