Great fishing & swimming
Jenkins Park- Just up the road on Shole line Rd. Has a great pier for fishing.
Property has a different configuration from what I am used to which may be due to location and potential presence of alligators. There are a lot of stairs which may poses an issue with seniors or persons with mobility issues.
I was very pleased with this home. It's homey, comfortable, and has everything you need. They are plenty of towels and the kitchen is fully equipped with small appliances, utensils and spices. They even have a griddle for pancakes. Dawn, the host, responds quickly to messages and was very understanding when we had to stay a little bit past check out due to car issues which, we greatly appreciated since we were already so stressed and had nowhere else to go and didn't know what to do. The only things I would suggest adding to the home is a tandem kayak since, probably most visitors are couples, and motion-activated lights to the stairs since, at night there are no city lights outside the windows and it's pitch black. Also, while the TVs have apps, they're not actually connected to any accounts.
Very clean and cozy house. Great communication with the owner.
This was an amazing place! Beautiful surroundings and quiet neighborhood. The best host ever, we will definitely be staying again.
This is a great little cottage right on the creek (with a very active otter during my stay). Love the wood burning fireplace and look forward to staying again. Thanks Dawn.
We decided to get away for Thanksgiving week & spent the last 3 nights in this beautiful house, which was immaculate upon our arrival. The indoor fireplace & outdoor fire-pit provided all the comfort we needed, and on Thanksgiving day we received a visit from a small, inquisitive alligator, who swam up in the creek behind the house (plenty far from shore) & kept us company as we enjoyed the fire-pit & Thanksgiving Dinner from the second-floor deck. It was just a beautiful setting, and Dawn our host promptly responded to my many inquiries via email. I really hope we can make it back again.
The place was very cute and as exactly as described. However I would note it’s actually even cuter and nicer now than it was in the photos. You can tell they did some additional decorating from when the original photos were taken. It was very clean, and trust me I should know I’m a clean freak. The location was great. Unfortunately Rodgers parked was under construction when we were there and we were unable to book to go to Weeki Wachee as they were full. So thankfully we had a friend who lived in the area that allowed us to launch our kayak from there. So if you are planning to go to Weeki Wachee please note you have to book well in advance to get a spot. But overall we had a great trip and the house was perfect for our needs! We utilized the back balcony often and we even saw the alligator in the creek and a hawk in the tree which was entertainment for us!
What an adorable vacation home. Great location- Close range to the springs and restaurants. The beds were so comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing on the balcony after a busy day out. Definitely recommend and we hope to return next year. Thanks for everything Dawn.
House very clean, host wonderful. Neighborhood is quiet. Camper on one side, trailer on other. Will have to drive for activities.
No complaints , even if our simple phone did not have service but did further down the street. Everyone one would need is to be found in the home. Canoeing and a beautiful stream with its manatees were hopeful for the future of nature.
Check in was easy code for a key box, unit was clean an modern. Couple of small maintenance issues stair post loose and transition strip to bedroom a bit of a stumble hazard. Has kayaks canoe and paddleboard, but board and canoe are broken. One kayak we took to river took on water. Overall a nice place even though is not on the water.
