Webb Isle Cottage - Close to Shopping, Dining & the Beach! Free Fitness/Tennis

This property is a great location, truly walking distance to the beach even for little kids. The property management company was very kind and attentive. The 3rd floor bathtub didn't drain and they got it taken care of asap. The dishwasher didn't work and they needed to have someone else come to repair it. We were there for 4 days and it was not repaired during our stay. This made it challenging for us not having sanitized dishes, baby bottles, etc, but I believe the property management company did what they could to help. The house itself is dated and everything in it is dated and dingy.

The property was old and dirty. Problems with the property were so bad we left 3 weeks before the end of our reservation.

This will be a two part review. First the pros, then the cons. The PROS: Great location - very close to Barrett Sq, neighborhood pool and beach. Beautiful architecture and landscaping. Family atmosphere Felt safe and secure. Teenagers could be allowed explore the neighborhood. Pet friendly property. The CONS: Exterior door to patio from kitchen is hard to operate. Floors do not provide any sound insulation from floors above. Master BR is on first floor. Kitchen is directly above on 2nd floor. Kitchen sounds can be hear in Master BR (hard to sleep). Same for 2nd floor BR and 3rd floor. Micro wave did not work. Gas lamps on 2nd floor porch went out, but gas continued to flow. Can smell gas and could be hazard. Pans are teflon coated, not healthiest choice. Not a gourmet cook's kitchen. Knives were dull and no sharpener. Washer and dryer were small. Constantly washing/drying towels. Porta crib sheets were dirty. There is a Casita (One bedroom apartment above garage) on the property. If you don't rent the Casita, you share this property (pool, garage and BBQ) with those renters. Pricey. Overall we had a great vacation. We just expected more for the money we spent.

This property was perfect for our needs and we appreciated the ratio of bedrooms to bathrooms. Lots of privacy for four couples and the bunkroom worked perfectly for the kids. You can’t beat the location. We were somewhat disappointed in “basics” we thought might be included (trash bags and toilet paper primarily), but maybe this is standard for properties in this area? We also didn’t have beach towels (which we were told was due to the covid situation), but some friends‘ properties nearby did supply those to guests. No big deal but we ended up needing detergent to do several loads of laundry. Don’t mean that as a complaint, but to help other pack appropriately for upcoming stays. Overall great home. Thanks!
