Wayzata, Lake Minnetonka

Location and space in the home were perfect for our groups stay. The home was very well stocked and the owner was super communicative on any questions we had. The home itself could use a few updates but nothing that would deter us from staying again. The dock was perfect for renting a boat and we enjoyed having kayaks available to use!

My siblings and I grew up on Lake Michigan so we know our way around a lake. Lake Minnetonka is an amazing body of water with bays and rivers and bayous. Less than 30 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, Dru and Melanie’s house is on Gray’s Bay, at the east end of the lake and conveniently located near a bike path, boat launch, and the town of Wayzata (2 miles). The lake is the best feature of the house, and you can enjoy the water from the deck, dock, by boat, or the paddle board and 2 kayaks on the property. The hosts are very responsive and they made check in very easy. The house is functional with ice and plenty of cleaning supplies on hand. There are five bedrooms with 2 king beds and 3 queen beds, plus a bonus room that can serve as an office, playroom, or spare bedroom if you have an air mattress. Overall, this is a great place to explore Lake Minnetonka.

Great location for our family vacation....2 grandparents, 3 couples and their 2 toddlers. Excellent location. Plenty of room for all of us and a very good layout.

My sons and their families came for the week. 6 adults and 5 kids. We wanted lake, sand and lots of room. We rented a boat one day, used the paddle board and kayaks. Fished had friends with jet skis stop by. We also hosted a larger group of our family Friday eve. It was the perfect place for everyone. Dru had life jackets, kayaks, a paddle board, fishing gear and the docks were great for the kids to feed some fish. The house is very well stocked. The beds are really comfy, lots of puzzles and board games and a fabulous toy room. We celebrated my grandson’s 4th birthday the whole week, he was awed. Would highly recommend this home…great memories were made Sue and Ron

We had a wonderful 4th of July visit. Staying on Grays Bay was such a treat. The dock worked easily for my cousin to bring over his boat and take us out. Fun to have the kayaks and a paddle board. Kitchen worked well for our large family bbq on the 4th.

4th of July on Lake Minnetonka is a must once in your life! And this property is right in the heart of all the fun, but you get to enjoy from a quiet and calm bay. Dru provides all the fun toys you need for the lake. We even loved that there was coffee, plenty of paper goods and well stocked towels for the lake. This was our second stay here and would love to stay again!

Loved the location right on the Bay and the hosts provided everything, including extra paper towels and coffee :) The host was very easy to get ahold of and the check-in was a breeze. Location cannot be beat, so close to everything....restaurants, shopping, etc.

Very nice lake home for summer activities include a dock and a beautiful view with adequate amenities. We were provided the paddle board and kayaks as well as very a nice home with multiple bedrooms and easy dining and kitchen experience. Communications were excellent with the homeowner and I appreciate that most of all. The only thing I would suggest is there would be a few more dishes (i.e. mugs for coffee and bowls for cooking etc.) and we were short on hangers for the guest room. So, I had to bring these items from home. If people didn’t live close by it might be difficult because then they might need to purchase these items. Other than that it was awonderful vacation.
