Waco, Texas
we are a fully licensed and permitted STR (#001354-2020) by the City of Waco with passed safety inspections. Make sure when booking any vacation rental, that it IS city approved!
Built in 1954, this charmer is in a quiet neighborhood, set back from the street with a big grassy yard and mature landscaping (huge shade tree in backyard!) plus beautiful original hardwood floors. With that as the base, we have completely renovated it to fit today's style with a modern farmhouse vibe and updated ammenities! 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms (including a relaxing soaker tub). All furniture/linens/beds/utensils were purchased specifically for a comfortable vacation house.
The space is a comfortable home with the vacationer in mind. We use this house as our own family vacation spot so we found pieces that would be comfortable and relaxing and make us feel like we were on vacay in Waco but with a "home away from home" feel. It's Texas, but not over the top cowboy. It has a cool, contemporary boho western vibe and we think you will love the style. We have added a new concrete driveway and carport to keep your cars covered, rain and shine. A well appointed kitchen with new pots/pans, crockpot, skillet (everything you need for a taco night or bacon and egg breakfast), spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds (Zinus memory foam matresses that guests always rave about.), a big living room with an amazing denim sectional couch (guests love it and ask where they can find one for themselves, sorry I don't know the brand though!) and plenty of other seating for a true get together, a dining area that seats 6 for meals or board games, generously sized bathrooms with shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion, a fully stocked laundry room, and a big private backyard with covered patio seating, outdoor lights, hammock, and a propane grill. The TV console has a great ambient fire light and the large screen Roku tv ready to stream your Netflix, hulu, etc. Free wifi, of course. Pack-n-play/crib, highchair, and even a bumbo seat are provided for babies/toddlers.
important note: the AC works great, but please DO NOT put it lower than 70 degrees. otherwise it can overwork, freeze up, and shut down. it cools the house well and we usually need a throw blanket by the time it gets down to 72. there are ceiling fans in each room to help with circulation as well.
Guest access:
Keyless entry to the "entry room" off of the driveway. We will message you the door code the day of your stay. Once inside the house, there is a set of keys to all doors for additional entries.
Other things to note:
We provide coffee, tea, sugar, and cream. There are spices, olive oil, and non stick spray in the pantry. we try to provide necessities and a few extras to welcome you! There is also a propane grill on the back patio. With so many great places to eat and enjoy in town though, we hope you will go out and experience those too! There is a list of some of our favorite places provided at the house.
In the laundry room you will also find a cooler, four camp chairs. and 4 beach towels to use on your adventures (swimming holes, waterparks, picnics, tailgating, etc.).
Our family of 5 was in Waco for a Baylor Volleyball game and really enjoyed our 2 night stay. The property was beautifully updated, very comfortable and convenient for everything we did. The host provided very nice amenities and made us feel very welcome. We would not hesitate to stay here again!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! It was clean and comfortable and in a great location. The neighborhood was safe and quiet The home had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated. We will stay there again!
Great time had by all!
The house was comfortable and well appointed. We savored the coffee every morning. Enjoyed watching some TV while using the fireplace for ambience. The property was located in a quiet neighborhood but accessible to various restaurants and sightseeing activities for our groups of five ladies. We really had a fun time and we enjoyed exploring the Magnolia Silos, the Mammoth National Monument, the Farmers Market and Balcones Distilling.
We loved our stay here! Everyone had their own room when we wanted some solitude, but we loved the cozy common spaces too. The kitchen was stocked with essentials. We couldn't believe there were THREE bathrooms. What a perfect spot for a fun weekend.
We traveled from MN to visit our son in the military for Thanksgiving. The oven and the dishwasher worked excellent for our Thanksgiving meal. The bedrooms were very spacious and there was plenty of room to chat and play games.
