Beautiful property with fantastic views, right on the lake.
We stayed during peak foliage season with my eight- four year old mother and two dogs. Harry was a gracious host and made sure we had enough firewood. He even brought us apricot jam for our first morning. We also appreciated that he had his music playing when we entered his camp. Our stay was therapeutic as my mother and I grew up spending our summers on Pine River Pond in Wakefield. The weather and scenery was breathtaking. Thank you Harry.
Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate for some of our week but family and our furry friends enjoyed every second relaxing, enjoying the beautiful lake and stone camp. Many game nights, laughter and outside adventures
Very easy, Harry was very nice and accommodating.
Sitting by the beautiful lake at sunset Hiking in the mountains nearby Swimming and relaxing Playing family games
Just 2 of us plus 1 4-legged friend enjoyed an extra long weekend at Sleeper’s Point. The house is spacious, well-kept and quite comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and the fireplace was a perfect evening activity with our jigsaw puzzles. No television!! But a great tavern within walking distance so we could watch the Patriots. Thanks Harry!
Beautiful and roomy cabin in the classic sense. For those that want to return to less complicated lake front vacation, this well built, 1935 stone camp will suit. With ample areas to sit around like the screened-in porch, living room and especially the set of Adirondack chairs to overlook the broad section of the lake. This is not your A/C, temperature controlled box with neutral colored walls. Here, you sleep with the windows open listening to the waves on the semi-private beach. Kitchen may be a bit rustic, but entirely functional with a modern frig. The refurbished bathroom was a plus.
My family and I had such a phenomenal time at this property this Summer. It's a beautiful and comfortable house with so much room. It has a cozy vintage NH camp feel but with lots of space and all the modern amenities. A large living room with a huge open hearth fireplace leads out to an enormous wrap-around screened-in porch. The porch is perfect for large dinners at the picnic table that seats ten or more. The master bedroom has a recently remodeled tiled bath with a roomy shower. It includes a lovely clean sand beachfront for sitting by and accessing the lake. There is also a separate sitting area with several adirondack chairs overlooking the lake. There is plenty of parking and lots of room by the beach for paddle boards, kayaks and the like. I had use of the dock and a mooring for my boat. It is a picture perfect vacation spot on one of the finest and largest lakes in New England. I particularly enjoyed seeing the loons fishing during the day and hearing them call each other at night. Lovely and peaceful. I can't say enough about this place and can't wait to go back!!
Beautiful, unique, private cottage on the water. Charming, cozy, romantic 1935 construction with Gatsby-esque vibe. Built from local stone by a renowned craftsman during that era. Amazing stone construction and an impressive hearth in the center of the house. Sits up on a small peninsula, looks out over the water on two sides. Abuts small beach area and dock. Crystal clear water, and you can see to the bottom, even 100+ feet out. Paddlers and anglers: check out the shelf around the corner from the dock.
My family and I had a fantastic time at this cute stone cottage during bike week. When we arrived, the owner had left some fresh flowers, which I thought was a great touch. We had a lot of privacy and every night watched the sun go down over Lake Winnipesaukee. In the morning we were greeted by the sound of Loons out front on the water. My children had the best vacation ever, even without a T.V. It was good for all of us to communicate and get back to nature without the disruption of a television. We will be back next year for sure. xo
