Waterfront Louisiana Home w/ Private Boat Launch!

We had a wonderful stay. The rental was in a perfect location. One or two miles from groceries, gas, bait, etc. the view was beautiful. Communication with our contact, Sandy, was easy and she quickly responded. I would return to this location. It was quiet and peaceful. We cooked inside and out. They had plenty of pans. We were happy we brought our own favorite, large pot to cook in . The showers were hot and had excellent pressure. We seldom used the camp and stayed on the deck that had more than enough electrical outlets to add a couple of fans to the two they provide. Thank you.

Property is prime location on the lake for fishing and boating fun, always clean and well kept….that’s why we return every year….

Loved the arrangement and spaciousness of the house. Pier is great. View is wonderful! The kids caught small bream entire time we were there. It’s nice having a boat launch on the property. If we could cool the house down I would give it a 5-star! It’s June and after a day on the lake everyone needs to cool down! Adding a couple of window units would probably fix the problem. Also, washing machine had a serious dance/ bang routine on the first spin cycle.

The place was everything we expected and provided a great time while fishing the Big Bass Splash Tournament.

What an incredible property! In three words location location location it’s awesome it’s perfect would recommend it for anyone.

We booked this home for our family reunion that was close by. This house is very spacious. It was plenty of room for my husband and I and our 3 sons and their spouse and children. We love this place. It is so relaxing! We will be back again next year!!

The property was not cleaned until 3 hours after our arrival from the previous guest! We had to clean the back patio & boat / fishing dock for us to wait on until the cleaning was done. Air filter & vent had not been changed or cleaned in awhile, trash outside in the back, boat dock taken over by cob webs, no working front porch light, & the front entry had been neglected from being cleaned for sometime. The kitchen drawers were almost inoperable, dirty dishes in them & the cabinets, stove was so dirty we chose not to use it, only the 2 small burners worked on the stove, & the fridge had to be wiped out before stocking w/ our groceries. A note on the fridge stated we would be charged for any service call so we dealt w/ only having the 2 burners! Mattress covers were soiled & per the PM there were no extras so we had to wash them ourselves. All the furniture had not been dusted & wasn't addressed when I had pointed it out to the PM. Pictures are deceiving! The property is not kept up or has sufficient cleanings. Owner never followed up after our initial call about the uncleaned property nor responded to my text. We bought cleansers to wash linens & to clean a bathroom to use while waiting for the cleaning crew. There are much nicer properties on the lake for the same rate or cheaper. Don't waste your $!

THIS IS A WONDERFUL HOME TO HAVE A LARGE FAMILY VACATION. THERE WERE PLENTY ENOUGH BEDS AND ROOM FOR ALL OF US TO SLEEP. WE HAD A PONTOON BOAT AND A SKI BOAT BOTH FIT PERFECTLY AT THE DOCK, THE PRIVATE BIOAT LAUNCH WAS A BIG PLUS FOR US. THE DECK WAS PLENTY BIG ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE TO SIT TALK AND ENJOY, THERE WERE FANS ON THE DECK TO HELP WITH THE HEAT A FIRE PIT WITH PLENTY OF ROOM FOR ALL OF US, AND A LARGE BACK PORCH WITH A LARGE FAN. OVERALL THIS IS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO VACATION. WE WILL MAKE THIS A YEARLY VACATION SPOT. THE LAKE WAS NOT OVERCROWDED EITHER. ONLY TWO THINGS ARE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CLEANING SUPPLIES BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE PROVIDED AND MAKE SURE YOU BRING FANS BECAUSE THE AC CAN NOT KEEP UP DURING THE DAY. ONCE THE SUN GOES DOWN IT GETS BETTER, ALL THE BEAUTIFUL WINDOWS IN THIS HOME BRING IN SOME HEAT.

My family had a great stay. We had a small issue but owner and property manager were quick to respond. The back porch and the bunk room were a huge bonus since we had rainy weather during our stay. The property was the perfect fit and we would definitely consider staying again.

We had an amazing stay! From the early check-in, amazing breeze, and every size pot imaginable this place was perfect!

The property was very clean and newly remodeled, this is our 4th time to bust this property’ and will be back next year if not sooner, it has everything you need to fill at home….

Hickory Ridge hideaway was the perfect place for our families 4th of July getaway (6 adults and 7 children). It was very clean. The bunk/game room was a hit for the kids. The location is perfectly placed, right on the mid lake area. Only 5 minutes to the grocery and bait store. The best part was the boat dock and the seating area over the water. The kitchen and dining areas were sufficient with plenty of space. Also the back deck was perfect to sit and relax with a nice cooling fan through an afternoon thunderstorm. I give this place a 9.5/10. The only complaint we had was how warm it was inside at night with the a/c struggling with the July heat but box fans helped until the unit was able to catch up. I would recomend this place to anyone especially families with kids.

Yes the property has been remodeled. But frustrating because you can't see the small stuff online and in the end the fancy new bathroom doesn't matter!!!!!! As you enter the front door the front area was full of dirt. I immediately swept so that we didn't bring it in the house. It was quite warm in the house. It took a long time to cool off, usually by the morning it was cool. Thank goodness they had box fans hanging around. Yes, they had a pool table but not all the balls - go figure. The grass needed to be cut and the dock was old and dirty - a little pressure washing would have helped. broken boards on pier. there were chimney swifts in the chimney- a bit noisey at times. Some of the rooms could use a good dusting. One bedroom needs a new bed!! The squeaking as you roll over was quite loud. Dirty dirty ac filter. No glasses to drink out of just coffee mugs and a few cheap plastic wine glasses. The master bathroom is an add on and no ventilation or a/c vents. It is a hot box. I hate to say lipstick on a pig but truly, if you are going to spend the money to fix it up inside maybe do so on the outside as well. It is a lake house, you want to be outside.Looked like no one cares and although hot, we came for the lake and to be outside. SO. somewhat disappointing and very confused now that I have read all the reviews. Not sure about the 10/10 and excellent. Makes me wonder about authenticity.
