Stayed Dec 5, 2025The cabin was lovely. Expertly decorated. The only issues that we had were the weather. Upon arriving the wooden platform to the stairs to the cabin where iced over and my husband fell. There are no railings on the wooden platform. I only mention this as a warning to people who might be physically challenged. The stairs leading to the basement would also be challenging to someone who might have mobility issues. The beds were extremely comfortable. We did not use the hot tub nor did we make a fire and we never cooked in the kitchen. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything you need to cook. Ada Hoyt, the host was extremely accommodating and available for any questions. The cabin was stocked with toilet paper and paper towels but no bathroom spray. Cell reception for phone calls was hit and miss. My husband injured his toe prior to leaving on our weekend trip and my friend attempted to seek medical help from her family nurse but was unable to make or receive a phone call. She could receive text messages however. The cabin does have a landline but my friend chose not to use it. This was in no way the fault of the host. I simply mention it so you can plan ahead and bring an emergency kit with you. We hope to rent here again in the warmer months. The town of Clarksville is amazing. All the people are so friendly. I highly recommend a trip to the Woodbine Winery which is nearby and I highly recommend staying at this beautiful log cabin home. Thanks for hosting us.

Stayed Jul 27, 2025Still Waters is a rustic and very beautiful cabin on a secluded inlet. We thoroughly enjoyed our time relaxing and engaging in water sports. Communication with the hosts was superb! The boat ramp was 5-10 min. by water and by car. The marina was a 20 min. boat ride or 10 min. car ride and they were fantastic to work with and very accommodating.Southern Boat Works was very friendly and reliable for boat repair and were kind enough to see us immediately since we were on vacation. Clarksville Tire and Service was able to order a trailer tire and have it mounted in less than 24 hrs. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, one of us broke a foot/ankle and required medical attention. There was a lack of providers in the area, but the Clarksville Primary Care center were very kind and referred us to the Emerge Ortho in Oxford, NC, who were amazing. We're hoping to return again... with less calamity, :-)

Stayed Jul 13, 2025We loved staying at Stillwater’s! It had everything we needed and more! We made a nice campfire one night and the kids made s’mores. Easy access to the dock down a nice path. The water was high when we first got there but gradually came down as the week went on. The hot tub is an added bonus! Our host, Ada, was very quick to answer any questions we had and I enjoyed chatting with her. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to any family groups for a great lake vacation!

Stayed Aug 30, 2024Plenty of fish to be caught if you like fishing. Rustic accommodations. Bedroom separation is great. Only 1 bedroom had an attached bathroom we thought there was going to be two master suites, I must of misread the listed. Our family tended to congregate on the middle floor but unfortunately the furniture there was rather uncomfortable and no tv to watch in that area. Make sure to bring junky shoes due to shorelines is red mud area. .

Stayed Jun 24, 2024Love how quiet the inlet is. Neighbors are quiet and setting is very private. Love that the dogs were allowed. The house was plenty large enough for many people and fit my large family perfectly. I didn’t like the lack of toilet paper and paper towels but with the dollar general down the street we made do. I’ve never seen a place that charged more for towels and bedding also, but that too, we made do on. All in all, it was a beautiful house, perfect setting. Baby frogs were everywhere and my children kept catching them. Beds were perfectly comfortable. If you’re not from the area, fyi, the diet will stain! It’s quite red. The marina down the road was great to rent a pontoon from and BobCats bait was a great bait shop! Love the town! Ada was very kind and prompt! I appreciated working with her. I highly recommend!

Stayed May 17, 2024Our stay was wonderful! The host was exceptionally responsive from day 1 and eager for everything to be perfect. We had an amazing weekend celebrating my daughter’s graduation from college. Everyone enjoyed having the space to enjoy nature, fish from the dock and indulge in conversations in the kitchen and around the fire pit.
