This is the second year we have stayed in this home and it was better this time around! The house, location and amenities are perfect! We look forward to being back next year! And Denise is amazing homeowner!
We’ve been coming to LGI for 10 years but this year we decided to make it a time of gathering for our whole family. The waterfront island retreat provided the perfect place! Situated right on the bay side with its own private dock was a special bonus. We enjoyed watching fish swimming around the green lights at night, it is an easy kayak launching area and the 2 yo grandson could wade in and view little sea creatures up close. We spotted Dolphins right off the end of the dock. And of course, there is the beach on the other side only a 2 minute walk down the sandy paths of Gasparilla. We were concerned about damage from last years hurricane but, LGI is recovering well and it didn’t affect our stay at all. Still a special place! The home is gorgeous, comfortable and provided everything we needed, even with the large group we had. Our hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. Of all the homes we’ve stayed at on LGI: this was our favorite!
Fishing from the private pier, a 2-minute walk on a sandy path to the ocean, kayaking, biking, and miles of seashore with almost no others on it. Campfires in the yard under the stars. Manatees and dolphins, kind neighbors, shark teeth and seashells and so much more. The home is completely redone, beautiful and so nice to live in. I could never say enough about our stay here. We had 6 kids aged 14 to 3. Everyone wanted to stay longer. There is nothing that could have made this stay any better. It was perfect.
This house has everything you need to enjoy the LGI experience! The kitchen and large hi-top dining table are great for family meals and game night. The dock is amazing and includes underwater lights, a nice bench and filet table. The front porch has enough nice furniture to seat everyone. The ice machine was a HUGE bonus for the week on the island! It made life so much easier! This was a great spot for our vacation!
House was perfect for our week of boating/ fishing/ relaxing. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful views and great location.
Denise was amazing. The location and the upscale furnishings where incredible. I would recommend renting a golf cart if you choose to book but it is not necessary. There was a wagon that you could use to get belongings and beach chairs to the beach. Loved staying on the bay side. Oceanside can be very wi during. We were able to sit out every night and watch fish jumping in the green lights and enjoy the covered deck. Lots of wild life. Denise had everything available to us as far as chairs, kayaks, etc.. it was exactly what we nededed.. completely disconnect from life and just be. Fishing off the beautiful pier, reading, beach walks, shark tooth collecting, amazing sunsets, great people.... Thank you Denise for making our week a 5 star trip. We rented a little boat to get back and forth plus to explore. Can't wait to come back.
We had a great stay. Hosts are great and the home was perfect for us!
We absolutely loved this rental home. It had everything we could possibly need. And the location is perfect. I started and ended every day on the front porch. Nothing more peaceful than looking out at the bay and watching for wildlife. The home inside and out is beautiful. Loved the big shower. And just a short walk to the beach. My family enjoyed fishing off the dock and kayaking around the mangroves. A trip we will remember for sure. We hope to be back soon!
I'm going to start by saying that the pictures of this house do it no justice!...meaning, the house is updated and clean and it looks a lot better in person. Every detail of the decor was thoroughly thought out. Plenty of beds to choose from and all are comfortable (great mattresses!). The main bathroom shower has double shower heads which makes it nice for getting the kids clean. There is also a private outdoor shower for those who would prefer to get ready in the ocean breeze or to get sand off of your before entering the house. The dock is the nicest dock on the island. It's great to sit out there and watch fish swim by or watch the birds hunt for food. The fire pit is also a nice feature for the evenings. The beach is a super close walk (no more than 5 mins) as well. You don't technically need a golf cart if you prefer walking. I suggest that all guests grocery shop prior to coming to the island since there are NO stores or restaurants accessible. The kayaks are also well maintained and we had a blast exploring the state park via the intercoastal. Since the owners just started to rent the house to guests, we received a check-up call to see how things were going and if we needed anything. Most owners will not do this so it was nice to hear from them...they take pride in making sure their guests have what they need. We'd love to return to this house someday.
We loved this house with the bones of an old Florida cottage that is completely updated. Everything is new and sparkling and bright with tasteful nods to salt living in the decor. Coffee in the morning on elevated deck overlooking water and mangroves and some resident shore birds-yes please! Sunrise at the end of the dock was a bit chilly this year and so we took advantage of the waterside firepit to warm up with our first coffee of the day. It was perfect another night to sit around with libations, chat and look at the stars. Sunsets on the gulf are a meadering 3 minute walk to the beach. There is a thoughtfully provided beach cart to haul beach chairs, coolers etc down the short path. Kayacking was a breeze! Four kayacks were provided and access to glassy waters is super easy from shoreline of property. Denise is an excellent host who thought of everything! We have already booked for next year.
