Pros. The property itself is nice. It’s a lovely little condo. We didn’t mind that the entrance led into a bedroom. We also didn’t mind the spiral stairs that are super steep and not 100% stable. We love that this unit is dog friendly too. FYI:There were two rawhide dog bones left under the couch which we told the Vacasa rep when we got a message asking us about the cleanliness of the place after checking in. Bugs: there were two cockroaches in the kitchen, one in pantry and one on the floor. We didn’t mind that either, we get that bugs can be pests. What we DID mind was the lack of clarity regarding the shared dock that is listed in the listing. There were not instructions on which dock is shared with this particular rental. Not only that, where do you access it in a safe way? The entrance is blocked by the stairwell that goes up to the back patio area. We wanted to use the dock and didn’t get to because even after messaging and calling in and talking to a representative, no one could tell me anything regarding this. Eventually someone said we could use any dock out there which I didn’t think was right because there are people who live in the other condos and they have furniture out at these docks. I told them I didn’t want to be disrespectful to other peoples property and just walk out on a dock when it may not be the one we should be on. The second thing that was really bothersome was the kitchen sink not working, it made it hard to reuse dishes when cooking.
It was a nice trip, great location. The washer and dryer needed to come with instructions on how to use them. Saw a couple of cockroachs. Washer and dryer did not work properly
My husband and I stayed here for a month. A couple of things to know. Entrance into the condo is on the second floor (outside entrance) and you walk directly into the second bedroom on the main floor. The other main floor bedroom is a nice Master Bedroom with walk in closet and 1/2 bath. If you’re not using the second bedroom then it’s not a big deal. The person sleeping in there needs to know this ahead of time. The second item to be aware of is that the steps going to the second level are extremely tight corkscrew-like spiral steps. You will not be able to get a suitcase up there unless you are a magician. This is truly unfortunate because that second floor has a lovely bedroom, laundry and a beautiful family room. We had guests who left their suitcase on the main floor and carried what they needed up the steps. These spiral steps would not work for small children , those with hip/knee issues or anyone having trouble with steps in general. They are borderline not safe. We absolutely loved the deck which overlooks one of the canals. While there is a gas BBQ out there , there is no furniture to sit on or table to eat at. We brought our own collapsible chairs and a card table because we wanted to enjoy the deck and the view of the water in the canal. Condo was nicely equipped with kitchen supplies, towels and basics supplies for a short stay. Since we stayed longer we bought our own supplies as needed. Location to stores convenient and a short drive to the bridge taking you over to the island. There are multiple TVs through the place with some complicated remote controls in the living areas: would have appreciated some instructions on how to use them. Vacasa the management firm was attentive. Overall a nice place to stay given the limitations with the walk-in bedroom and the corkscrew steps going upstairs.
Beautiful place,
