Offering a gorgeous setting - and a private dock - right on the western shores of Lake Sutherland, this rustic, off-the-grid home is a place to swim, take out a boat, or simply soak up the natural beauty of the Olympic Peninsula.
This 640-square-foot home has all the trappings of a classic Pacific Northwest escape - natural wood paneling, a wood-burning stove, and windows that frame Lake Sutherland to one side and evergreen woodlands to the other. You'll do everything within sight of the lake, whether chopping vegetables at the kitchen table, eating dinner at the picnic table outside on the deck, or curling up on the leather sofa with a movie on the TV.
Head down to the lakeshore to swim from the private dock in the morning or drop in your kayak, paddle boat, or stand-up paddleboard for a day on the water. Afterward, there's a wood-burning stove awaiting back at the house for you to warm up by. At night, in addition to the bedroom on the main floor, you'll find extra sleeping space upstairs in the cozy loft.

Great little cabin with wonderful lake views. I'd come back and stay again!
The view and location of this property are great, the dock and lake were wonderful. Those are the only positives. The cabin was dirty-I received a text from the management company after arriving asking me to rate the cleanliness, I sent them pictures and they offered to have someone come out to clean but I declined ( I had already clorox wiped everything at that point). Cobwebs everywhere, surfaces dusty and dirty. Crumbs in the floor, smudges on the windows, hair all over the bathroom floor. This home needs a deep clean and some updates and could be great. No outdoor furniture except two very very old plastic chairs. The beds are bad… even my 6 year old complained.
I loved staying at this little lakefront cabin in the woods. The bed was comfy and fine for just me. I did fun day trips to Port Angeles, Sequim, and Neah Bay. Neighbors are near by but the place is reasonably quiet, and the dock sitting provides for an outstanding view of the lake. Hope to visit again.
The property is dated. The inside looks like nothing has been done to it in 40 years (except for renewing the refrigerator and adding small flat screen TV). When we visited it was poorly equipped, not very well maintained, and there were issues with cleanliness that we have reported to Vacasa.
Small but great. Everything we needed and were hoping for.
Absolutely gorgeous views! We loved our stay, beds were warm and comfortable and the fireplace made everything perfect. We even took a little excursion out on the lake and it was just gorgeous. Only downside was a night we lost power, not the fault of the rental but we did realize we had dead batteries in all the flashlights and only three little tea light candles. Thankfully we had lots of mostly dry firewood waiting for us and that fire kept us warm and not in complete darkness. Also the loft was perfect for us but anyone with any difficulty going up stairs would have a hard time there, so keep that in mind. Overall an amazing stay!
We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. The house is rustic with a nice deck and we especially enjoyed the private dock.
Nice and cozy cabin with direct access to the lake!
The view and location.
Loved this little cozy cabin. 80 degrees in October! Million dollar view and pristine water to paddle on. Fun getaway!
Views of the lake are magical. Easy access to lake cresent and hurricane ridge area of the National Park. The pillows on the couch should be replaced as they smell very heavily of dog. Overall place could use a deep clean. The bathroom sink wasn't working when we were there. All we got was a sorry note, no offer of a discount (or another offer of any sort) for the inconvenience (walk to the kitchen bathroom to wash hands and brush teeth every time).
The house was perfect for my wife and myself. The lake was beautiful and the proximity to Port Angeles and Olympic National Park was perfect.
Good price nice dock. I swam down and cleaned up soda beer cans from the bottom near the dock. Garbage cans were full already when we got there. Charcoal would be cool. Deck really needs a umbrella and propane grill. We had a good time. Kayak A+++
This cabin was perfect for me and my three teenage girls. It was cozy with the fire and the weather was nice, too. Checkout time is a little early at 10 am.
Was listed as Port Angeles but about 20 minutes from town, a little hard to find the place. Super perfect accommodation for 4 people with beautiful views. Peaceful.
We had a lovely quiet time at this little house on the lake. The surroundings are gorgeous, and the house had everything we needed. The house is a tad rustic, so I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a luxury vacation. But to me it felt cozy, and just exactly what I wanted.
Very cute and centrally located cabin for relaxing between daytrips around the Olympic peninsula. The views from the cabin and dock were beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked and there were plenty of linens, toiletries, and other day to day supplies to make for a comfortable experience. Could use a bit of a deep clean around kitchen appliances and look into where the ant friends are coming from.
