You could not ask for a better location . The house is so comfortable and feels like home ! I love this place and will come back again and again.
The Heron House is well appointed inside, but the true delights are outside: the deck, the view, the wildlife, the water...! Amazing. We had a couple of issues, a broken shower door and no propane, but these were taken care of quickly, and other than that our visit was outstanding. We'll be back very soon.
Wonderful place. Very tranquil and was a great place for us to stay for a wedding at Captain Whidbeys. So enjoyed the deck. Look forward to returning. The Clifford’s
There is much to like about the Heron House. It is right on the water, and it is a five-minute walk to restaurants. But, there was a serious deal-breaker. There is a plumbing problem - when any water runs there was a loud noise that shook the floor in the kitchen. Very, very loud. Annoying, but not terrible. Here's the terrible part. It went off several times, for a period of hours, in the middle of the night. We couldn't sleep. We were about to leave and find another place to stay when we figured out why the plumbing noise went off in the middle of the night. We discovered that the downstairs toilet leaked - and so it was constantly refilling the tank - all day and all night. Once we figured that out, we just shut off the water to the downstairs toilet. It was a bit of an inconvenience, but better than the constant racket. It gets worse: Vacasa was not very helpful. Text messages got robo-replies. They were of no help in figuring out the problem. We were told that the owner was aware that there was a problem - which means that the owner just chose to do nothing about it. There were other minor problems, but discussing them is like complaining about the arrangement of the deck chairs on the Titanic. Nice house. Nice location. Don't rent it again until the plumbing gets fixed. And, Vacasa, you need better customer service.
The location of this property was perfect. It was a quick stroll to coffee, restaurants and shopping.
The views of the water and wildlife from every window were amazing! The kitchen was well stocked. Coupeville is an adorable little town. The home could use a good deep clean.
We came for a weekend birthday celebration and couldn’t have had a better time at Heron House! 10/10 location, adorable decor, clean, comfortable, and insane views from nearly every window in the house. The kids loved all of the board games and cozy blankets provided. Walking distance to all of the cute shops in Coupeville. We will be back for sure! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We loved the house. Enjoyed sitting on the deck right on the water
- Steps away from the boardwalk where you will discover shops and eats -Glimpses of wildlife all around that will stop you in your tracks. Keep your phone handy for a quick pic. -True waterfront view so close you can hear the waves as you gather with friends and family - The people of Whidbey Island are so welcoming and inviting. -
Fabulous location in Coupeville - house is roomy and well appointed. Comfortable and relaxing for our family trip - best part is the deck right out over Penn Cove. Checking my calendar for when we can return.
Perfect place to watch the tides and nature - otters, seals, bald eagles, and deer. The tides and Suva make for more relaxation viewing
