Top of the Line The home was everything it was claimed to be, and in some ways, even better. Very clean, everything worked, beautifully decorated, well stocked appliances (nothing else stocked including salt and pepper), comfortable, quiet. The view of the sound is spectacular, especially at sunset. It was late March so we didn't swim, or take out the kayaks, but staying on the water was all we were looking for at this time of year. Still off-season, the neighborhood was quiet. Year round residents were very friendly, and it felt very safe. We also brought out dog, and he had a blast. It was reasonably priced for off-season, so we felt we got more than our money's worth. Also, it was our first time at the outer banks. The beaches are beautiful and empty at that time of year. On one walk with the dog (dog friendly beaches) we noticed that we couldn't see anybody on the beach either way, though we had near the lighthouse where we entered. Very different from our usual stays at NJ. Didn't think it was possible to experience an empty beach. Also, though a lot of restaurants were not open, the ones we ate at were great. A special shout out to Cafe Pamlico, one of the best meals I have had in a long time! Great service, great food. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation.
House was clean and accurate to description. Will definitely be bringing dogs back for our trips to this location! Only confusion we had was with departure - site, email, and paper in house required us to do different things and contradicted on anothe.
I will say that the location of this house is wonderful. Tucked away from sight of most houses and right on the water with kayaks and canoe.
Our family of 4 (2 teenaged boys plus my husband and self) enjoyed this home. Location was semi secluded. Sound access with kayaks, canoe, life vests included was a nice bonus. House was spacious. Water pressure was good. Central air kept consistently cool. Hot tub was enclosed and nice on rainy days. There were minor issues that other reviewers commented on but didn’t bother us at all like the fraying carpet edges, stained rug, or throw pillows. All in all this house suited our needs for our week long stay!
The home is outdated. Furniture is stained. Living Room rug is nasty. There is no real grill. Landscaping needs attention. Doggy gates were a nice feature. The Hot Tub was the best part.
We spent a good chunk of change for this rental and when you pay a lot you expect for everything to work properly. Nope, got there..the Wi-Fi didn’t work and there was an issue with the hot tub. We constantly reached out to the property management and got “we will reach out to our local partners” nothing ever came of it. Asked to speak to a manager…it’s been 3 week’s with nothing. Disappointing, highly recommend going to another property especially when you can resolve issue with the property management.
There is plenty of privacy at this house with a driveway that sets you back from the entrance street in a quiet neighborhood.
House was great for our family. Hot tub was very relaxing; beautiful sound views and the kayaks right from the house was a great bonus! We loved the Frisco area and look forward to returning some time again!
This property has received a lot of recent updates of kitchen supplies and other necessities. The hot tub was cleaned the day we arrived and everything was in good shape! Will definitely be returning next year!
Ragged, rusted off, old grill post sticking up three feet, and just a few feet beyond back stairs is a liability lawyers ticket to retirement. Wrongful death waiting to happen. MUST be cut off flush, and ground smooth. Maintenance quickly responded to and corrected detached 2nd floor railing. However there are balusters falling off that panel that will permit a child to fall through. All decks and their railings should be inspected and repaired. Upstairs toilet seat falling off. Missing/broken bolt. Aside of the above, house is in as good or better shape than our last stay there, sixteen years ago.
I've stayed at this house over a half a dozen times. Unfortunately, some of the amenities could use upgrading, including the pots and pans that are pitted, warped and lack covers, a freakishly heavy and unwieldy hot tub cover, and highly intermittent wifi and internet service.
