The main level bathroom has granite countertops and a generous spa like shower. The top floor has a loft area with a daybed and trundle as well as the oversized master bedroom with a king sized bed, TV, sofa and an en suite bathroom. The master bathroom also has granite counter tops with a huge walk-in shower and a jetted soaking tub. The lower level has a fourth bedroom with a queen sized bed and twin sized bunk beds, another bathroom with a huge walk-in shower, a mud room for ski storage, and a Movie Theater room with a 100 screen! All bathrooms have been tastefully appointed with high end fixtures as well as tile, stone, and granite. The great room floor plan feels open and inviting and boasts high ceilings and large windows that take advantage of the view of the bay. Most of the home has hard wood flooring. There is also a large deck with plenty of seating for your group. For your added safety and security, there are motion sensor lights and cameras on the front and side exterior of the home.

Just ten minutes to downtown Sandpoint, twenty-five minutes to Silverwood, and thirty minutes to Schweitzer (fifteen minutes to the Schweitzer shuttle parking lot) puts all of the area’s attractions within easy reach by car. Biking to Sandpoint’s shops and restaurants is a breeze too on the paved path across the long bridge. Even Spokane, Coeur D’Alene, and the Canadian Border are within an hour and twenty minutes from the property. Blackwolf Cabin is your ideal North Idaho getaway. A stay at this amazing property will recharge your soul.

IN THE SUMMER
Bring your Ski Boat or use our water toys!! 110' feet of waterfront and a brand new 700 sq ft PRIVATE dock. At the water’s edge the dock provides easy boat access to the big lake but without the wind and rough water sometimes associated with Lake Pend Oreille. We have two kayaks, a canoe and a paddleboat but feel free to bring your own paddle boards, kayaks, and other water toys to enjoy the quiet and calm water! There are ample hiking and biking opportunities close by as well. Want some more adventure Check out the thrilling rides and waterpark attractions at Silverwood; the largest theme and waterpark in the American Northwest.

IN THE WINTER
Enjoy the snow sports at North Idaho’s destination ski resort Schweitzer Mountain! The Schweitzer Mountain Village/Ski Resort is a short 30 minute drive from our spacious home. There are ample areas for snow shoeing and cross-country skiing all around. Bring your snow mobiles and other snow toys and take advantage of the endless opportunities. The Blackwolf Cabin has plenty of parking and our location is a far faster and easier drive to town for the fantastic restaurants and nightlife without braving the steep and winding road up and down Schweitzer Mountain. After a day of play in Idaho’s winter wonderland, indulge yourself in our six person hot tub or take in a moving in the theater room or do both! The county meticulously plows and maintains the roads to the house and we keep the driveway and our parking area plowed as well.

**Note regarding water level: Each year, on September 18th OR the 3rd Sunday in September (whichever is later), the Army Corps of Engineers begins dropping the water level of Lake Pend Oreille until ultimately reducing it by a total of 10-12 feet. Around the 4th week in September ALL boat docks and boat lifts on the lake become inaccessible and unusable, as the water completely recedes back from the shoreline leaving just bare ground beneath the docks. The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.

House is great and well-appointed. Beds /linens/towels were nice quality. Location is close to everything. Only drawback is the trains. They’re very loud and very frequent but if that doesn’t bother you, then it’s a perfect spot.

This house was so great! Very clean, I loved how everything was organized and labeled. The dock was fantastic and we all loved using the kayaks! We'd never done that before and it was a blast! The large porch was fantastic! The only thing is, the steel door and handles got VERY hot on the 90 degree day. We had to rubberband socks on the handles so we wouldn't burn ourselves. So maybe getting some kind of heat resistant material to cover them with :) and maybe one more patio umbrella would be perfect! The kids LOVED the theater room and were so excited that they had the entire Harry Potter collection :) All in all, a fantastic stay and would definitely come here again!

I got together with a few friends to celebrate my 40th birthday. We are local but just were looking for a larger space with a hot tub. What a great home to stay at. It was a beautiful place and just the perfect place to spend times with loved ones. I can’t wait to maybe stay there again in the summer and enjoy the lake. Thanks Kristine and Troy for allowing to stay in your home for a memorable time.

The property exceeded our expectations. There was 8 of us that stayed there and it was just right for us. The theater was really cool. Proximity to Schweitzer was the draw, but I bet this place is great (and maybe even better in the summer) year round.

This was a wonderful place to stay. We had adults and kids in our group. There was something to do for everyone. The movie room was a big hit and also the hot tub. The train is pretty close, but you get use to it after a couple days! The house was fully stocked with just about anything you would need.

We celebrated 50 years of marriage with our daughters, their spouses and 6 grandchildren. A perfect fit for us all. All rooms worked well for us from the roomy master to the loft The property was beautiful with room to play football on the grassy area. The hosts were very cordial and responsive to every question that we had. We will come again to enjoy this house again soon. Thank you! daybed/trundle.

Everything was great with one exception: the weather was quite warm, and we could not get the AC to cool below 80 degrees due to a problem with trying to lower the temp too fast. There was not adequate info in the house instructions letting us know not to try and lower the temp more than two degrees at a time, causing the system to freeze up. The host walked us through the correct process but 2 of the 5 days we stayed were very uncomfortable indoors, very disappointing. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again, this was our second time at the house, as the hosts were super compliant and tried to help us get the temp down, which we were able to do. The home is of great quality and very clean with everything a guest would need to have a great stay.

This property has everything you could want for your vacation. The design of the house takes full advantage of the view. The spectacular sunsets over the water, hot tub was a big hit and so were the kayaks, canoe & pedal boat and, of course, the house was well stocked, organized and immaculate. They thought of everything including 2 sets of washer & dryers, lots of movies for the movie theater and even a second refrigerator. Taking our 2 sons and their families who live in big cities to this part of the country was a challenge but this was a perfect location for a summer vacation. Amazing natural beauty - Glacier National Park, Kootnai Falls, Ross Creek Cedars, Schweitzer ski lift & hiking. Fishing off the private dock kept the teenagers busy and the shopping in Sandpoint was enjoyable for all. Sandpoint has really stepped up the caliber of restaurants - while we cooked in our first class kitchen at the house some, every Sandpoint restaurant we visited was a great food experience. Our family said it was their best vacation ever.
