We traveled to the area for a college visit. The house was immaculate and the bedroom layout was perfect for our family of 5. When we arrived it was very late in the evening. The lights were on and the house was toasty warm. And the beds? Super comfortable with cozy linens! (Coincidentally, the sheet sets were totally my girls, one loves space and the other loves sharks! It was meant to be :-) The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes silverware and kitchen towels. There were a few games and books which we enjoyed. Communication with the owner was excellent as well. Hope to be back soon!

We really enjoyed visiting the lake and the close proximity to town for groceries. We spent most of our time at Acadia. The house had plenty of space for 5 adults and the kitchen was great for cooking.

The main house was a great property for a family of 5. The communication for checkin and checkout was perfect. Plus the little extras provided in regards to an Acadia guide took it to a 5 experience.

We are a family of 6 and a small dog. Had plenty of room. House was very comfortable. Pond and kayaks were a nice perk! Kayaking at sunset was gorgeous. We are clean freaks and sensitive to molds and other allergens. This house was clean and fresh! Good location for seeing Acadia. Owner was responsive. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Did not have much time to explore the grounds as we were there for my sons graduation, so pretty much just slept there. It was clean, very quiet and in a convenient location

We loved the cabin! It had that wonderful cabin feel but was updated with the modern conveniences and finishes. Kitchen was well equipped and even included some staples. Beds were wonderful and the pillows were perfection! Great family area where we could ask three hang out. The grounds w. The pond was beautiful. The location was great for our daily portions to Acadia. I highly tecumseh finding Mount Desert Pie company and getting the best blueberry pie you'll ever taste.. with every penny. My husband flinched when i told him the price... then he tasted it and ate his words.. This place was truly wonderful and communication was stellar. The only thing i suggest... and it's nothing... would be coasters. I'd hate for your beautiful furniture to be ruined. I used a saucer lol. We had a wonderful time, and made memories. Thank you!

Location was most important to our party on this trip, it was an hour from Acadia, 30 minutes from Bangor, about 2- 1/2 hours from Mt. Katahdin and the Dark Sky park. The location was cool, I think it used to be the main house for a summer camp, they are currently renovating all of the tiny cabins. The pond/lake that the property sits on is very nice and clean, the included kayaks were fun.The size of the house was as advertised,we did not cook any meals there, but it looked like there was plenty of plates, silverware, pots, pans and such. The outdoor fire pit area was great. It would’ve been nice if the hot water lasted longer or at least kept up with both showers being used at the same time, but we managed. It probably would’ve been a bigger issue with more than 4 people staying in the house. Also, it is worth noting that currently there is no flooring in the upstairs, it looks like carpet was removed some time ago because there are tack strips still in a some areas. It was just plywood subfloor painted grey, so it was very loud downstairs if someone was walking around upstairs, the creaks and thuds from walking were quite amplified. I would definitely recommend this property for the price and location.

Main House is just as nice as the pictures! The kitchen is well supplied with plenty of dishes, utensils, drink ware and even spices for your cooking needs! The beds and bedding are so comfortable and the area is very quiet at night. The lake was lovely, wish we could’ve stayed longer and used the kayaks! Check in and out was a breeze and the host and property manager answered any questions we had right away. We will definitely return in the future.

We camp yearly in Down East Maine, this year we had a wedding to attend and rented this house. From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed this property . It was clean, well stocked and located close to Acadia. We enjoyed kayaking, the fire pit and the peaceful surroundings. We highly recommend this house and will inquire about one of the water front cabins in the future . 5 plus stars and the host was extremely communicative and responsive. Perfect weekend.

This was a great location for our trip to Acadia. Not too bad of a drive and away from the craziness in Bar Harbor. The house had plenty of room for our group of 7 adults/teens, and the pond is beautiful. We wished we had better weather to enjoy the kayaks and campfire, but we had a great stay anyway.

The host, Eddie, is very nice and super helpful with any questions. The house was clean and had lots of fans for those who need white noise at night like me. The firepit was a big hit for my friends and I and the lake is absolutely beautiful.

A friend and I stayed here for a few nights while working on another property on lower Toddy Pond. The house was clean, the beds were quite comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. The heat pump kept the place comfortably cool throughout our stay. The waterfront is nice and we fished a bit from the dock, but mostly just returned to the house in the evenings to relax.

This location was our first VRBO stay for a family vacation. The location is close to Acadia Park and is dog friendly. The waterfront is accessible with a small pier and stairs and the waterway is beautiful with Loons calling at night. The accommodations were perfect for our family with plenty of space and our Samoyed loved the time spent with everyone. This is a great location for families with children to visit. The grocery store Hannaford is approx. 15 mins away and we saved a lot of money with cooking at the rental. There are cabin rentals on the property in very close proximity that will hinder those wanting privacy but we were fortunate to visit early in the season while the cabins were being prepped. Parking is limited but we only had two cars so this wasn’t an issue. Eddie, the host, was very attentive and checked in with us throughout our stay to ensure everything was going well. Check out was easy and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed as a family of 6. The house is excellent. All the bedrooms were spacious and convenient. The bathrooms were very roomy and clean. The whole downstairs gave a wooden cabin feel where you can feel comfortable away from home. There is a lake just behind the house for the beautiful sunsets. Our mornings were spent playing games with kids outside having breakfast on the table in front of the house. We cooked breakfast at the house. The grocery store is very close by. Our days were full of sightseeing, hiking. Its a bit of drive to Acadia National Park but time just flies looking at the scenic beauty. After it got dark we would all get around the fire pit and make smores. For some of us who wanted to stay up very late (like myself) we would just open a wine bottle and sit outside watching stars while kids can catch a movie on netflix. Great time away from home for everyone.
