The location and view were phenomenal.
Plenty of room for 4 adults. Great views of the Lake. The place was clean and the access codes worked great. Some instructions from the owners on operating the cooling system and the TV would be nice. Also some recommendations for local restaurants, stores, etc. Our stay was great and is very nice to bring a pet. Bedrooms are fine. Would be nice to note 1 bathroom is downstairs. Two nice bathrooms. Great trip to the fingerlakes area with many beautiful waterfalls.
Charming older home with Beautiful view of Keuka Lake. Comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, nice bathrooms. But, very strong dog odor and the air continually reset to 78, even in the middle of the night (and no instructions were provided on how to change that)
My rating would’ve been five stars as the location was great and a little town was so very sweet. The view was beautiful with the exception of the pool… The makeshift fence around it was quite an eyesore. It was apparent, the house had been vacuumed and counters wiped, however, attention to more detail was needed, windows and mirrors needed attention. Especially the bathrooms, no one likes to see toothpaste spittle on the mirrors.. that said, I would still return, maybe next year!
The property is fantastic and well equipped. It is spacious and the beds are comfortable. Great location near town and walking distance to two vineyards. The grill was great and the central air proved necessary on a 90 degree day. The deck and bay windows overlooking the lake were also amazing. We had a dog and he had a blast. They have dog bowls ready for you. There is a large partly fenced in yard but if your dog does not have rural experience, I’d hesitate taking him off leash as ours found a large mess a deer droppings and decided to take a real nice roll in it. Quite a mess. We would definitely stay again. We had three somewhat small concerns but they could very much matter to some. 1) there seems to be a small roach issue outside the rear of the cabin. Once it gets dark, they somewhat swarm the back deck (5-10 visible at any one time) so we could no longer hang outside. We would suggest getting some roach killer paste and lay it down around the outer edge of the house and under the deck and it should clear the problem. Not much of a concern but it did detract somewhat from the evenings. 2) the central air is great but it’s confusing if you haven’t used it. You need to touch the side of the thermostat to adjust. We’d recommend having a small “how to” sheet to help out guests. 3) the fire pit does not appear to have been used before and was not much of a pit. It would benefit from being dug up a little and having some stones or bricks put around it.
