Walkable 12 South Home Steps to Coffee & Dining Near Belmont & Vanderbilt

I had difficulty confirming whether or not I had paid for the room. This may be on Expedia and the host kept telling me I wasn’t booked when the money was already taken out of my account.. Chip did let us check in early, which was a plus. Once inside, rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. However there were many things broken or not working, such as plugs, shower knobs and door knobs. The outside of the property was overgrown with weeds and not appealing. There were no smoke detectors on the premises which caused concern. When you went to open the dishwasher, the whole unit came out from behind. Our food got ruined because it froze in their refrigerator. For a place that sleeps 6, there should be more than one bathroom. It also says walking distance to convenience, but it wasn’t. It was VERY noisy, being close to the fire department. Also, we had no water from getting off the plane and there was no where in walking distance to get any. Lastly, there was no where to hang clothing or towels, because there were no closets. It wasn’t terrible, but for what we paid, it wasn’t worth it. I don’t appreciate being responsible for doing laundry and taking out the trash while on my vacation. Isn’t that what the cleaning fee is for? Overall would not recommend.

Went to watch a concert at the soccer stadium. Right off the interstate. Short walk to the stadium. Would stay there again.

The property was exactly what we needed on a quick trip through Nashville. A short walk to all 12 South has to offer.

This booking is great for 2 couples or a group of friends looking to stay within a fair distance of broadway and close to other restaurants + shops. Communication: Chip was a great communicator from booking to check in. We had an easy check in and check out process. Location/Safety: The neighborhood the house resides in feels pretty safe. The surrounding area not so much. The windows on the house were either cracker, framing is falling away from the house, or did not properly locked. It seemed like at one point the windows were broken into. It made us feel a little uneasy not having a couple of windows that locked and seeing that screens were torn or busted in. We opted to stay closed to the neighborhood unless taking an uber elsewhere. There is construction going on with houses being renovated so it seems like they are trying to turn the neighborhood around to a more modern day feel (no noise during our stay). Overall, we had no problems but would recommend to stay close! An uber to broadway was less than $12 and only about 8-10 min drive. There are also cute restaurants and shops including brunch about 3-5 minutes away which is less than a $10 uber. Cleanliness: The house was pretty clean. We had no issues as far as the bedrooms and bathroom go. We did have to deep clean the coffee maker as it was dirty. Other than that no complaints. Misc: The TV didn’t work for us during our stay, unsure why. The porch was great to sit on in the mornings!

We travelled to Nashville to see a concert and the location of this home was perfect. Close to Geodis Park and we enjoyed the shops and restaurants of 12 South. The house is older (but clean), the landscape is a little rough and the driveway was challenging to get in and out of, but the house was clean and had everything we needed. We felt safe in the neighborhood too. Overall, it was great and I felt the owner described the house well in their description.
