Stayed Sep 15, 2025This property is in a great location with an easy walk to Walnut Street and its shopping and restaurants. There are other places within a good driving distance and many attractions close by.The stairs leading down to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, but have good tread and a solid railing. The only drawback to the downstairs is that the bathroom is in one of the bedrooms, not able to be used by the occupants of the other bedroom, who have to go upstairs to use the bathroom.The host is very responsive and has very good communication regarding the check-in process. We would recommend this property to someone looking for a place to stay in Shadyside.

Stayed Apr 18, 2025Great location, clean and ease of checking in and out. We had our dog with us and there really was no convenient area to take him to the bathroom. Overall good experience.

Stayed Jul 12, 2024Living area, kitchen, and bathrooms are excellent. Bedrooms in the basement are crampt and challenging for those 6' and over.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Property was a little on the smaller side especially the bedrooms which are in the basement level. Living room was beautiful and the location was fabulous. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. However upon arrival the property was not completely clean. Candy bag was half eaten on the counter and garbage was also visible. Looked like it was in process of being cleaned. Sweeper was emptied in the garbage along with other garbage so unfortunately property was not clean upon our arrival. We paid the cleaning fee?

Stayed Oct 28, 2022We loved this house. I wish we would have rented both units, but it was big enough for two of us and a small dog. It is well-appointed with thoughtful touches. You cannot beat the location, as Walnut street is literally right there, and you have your pick of restaurants and shops, and the neighborhood is safe and great for walking. Close proximity to CMU and Pitt, it was within walking distance for our son, who lives in North Oakland. The communication details on the property and having everything you need were SO appreciated. We would have rented it again for Pitt's graduation if it had been available! :-) Highly recommend this location/owner.
