Walk to Town 41A Alpine Chalet is a self-contained three bedroom holiday home on Lomond Crescent, Queenstown, with stunning lake and mountain views, classic alpine character, and direct access to the Ben Lomond walking and mountain biking trail from the front door. Sleeping up to six guests, it is one of the few properties in central Queenstown that combines a characterful chalet interior, private garden and lawn, elevated deck, and a location close enough to walk into town for dinner.
>The interior has a warmth and charm that sets it apart from more contemporary holiday accommodation. Painted timber beams and classic chalet architecture give the property an authentic alpine feel alongside a high-end fully equipped kitchen and a large open plan living area designed around the lake and mountain views. Three well-sized bedrooms, one bathroom, and every bed made up with crisp white linen and electric blankets — a detail that matters in Queenstown where evenings turn cold quickly regardless of the season.

Outside, an elevated private deck looks directly out over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables, while the garden and lawn area give guests room to spread out in a way that apartment-style accommodation simply cannot offer. It is a genuinely rare combination in central Queenstown.

The Ben Lomond Trail starts from the front door, connecting walkers and mountain bikers directly into some of the best terrain above Queenstown, with routes ranging from a gentle ridgeline walk to a full summit climb with views across the Southern Alps.

Central Queenstown is 1.5 kilometres away on foot, putting restaurants, bars, the lakefront, Steamer Wharf, Queenstown Gardens, and the gondola base station all within easy walking distance. For day trips further afield, Arrowtown is a 25 minute drive, Coronet Peak ski field approximately 30 minutes, and The Remarkables around 40 minutes.

Walk to Town 41A Alpine Chalet includes free Wi-Fi, dedicated off-street parking, a private deck, and a private garden and lawn area. Available for direct booking through QT Luxe Stays.

A one-off service fee of $188 applies per stay, covering professional cleaning and premium linen.

The property was amazing - the views are second to none. The driveway is VERY steep (as per add description). But it’s worth it for the co-signed and views of the property. It has everything you need. We stayed as 3 adults and 2 kids (under 4). We needed a car to get around as it was a big hill to get up to the property from Queenstown, but as I said 100% worth it as the property is stunning.

Beautiful cozy unit with gorgeous view, I personally enjoyed the uphill walk however it would be to much for unfit people or small children. Uber from town only 9$.

We enjoyed our stay. Has wonderful view of the lake and mountains. Good space and everything you need. Interesting drive up to the apartment, but easy once you have done it once or twice. Would recommend.

The house was very clean and well appointed with all mod cons. The beds were very comfortable and the view of the lake and mountains from the front windows was fantastic. We only had one night to enjoy the views from the front verandah but with daylight saving the sun didn't set till after 9:00 pm so we still had plenty of time after dinner to relax and enjoy the panorama. The location is great for folks who don't have a car as we were able to walk to the town centre in under 10 minutes.

My friend and I just needed a place for the night while we were down so this was ideal for us but would also be really good for a week or more too. Met the hosts as we arrived and they were very friendly and welcoming and made things easy. Close enough to town but also far enough away to not be right there, driveway is very steep but as long as no one else is in it it’s okay and inside was everything we needed and nice modern upgrades to the interior as well
