Walk to Beach | Marsh-View Escape with Screened Porch & Outdoor Shower

We had a wonderful time. We had everything we needed. Oak Island was clean and colorful. Nice place for rest and relaxation.

Perfect for a relaxing girls trip

The property was clean, overall, aside for some knats and a dirty pan that had been put in a cupboard. There were no coffee filters for a Ninja that requires special filters and very little hand soap available. There was not a lot of cookware. There was a drawer in the master that was off the railing so when my husband opened it, his leg got cut. Aside from this, the view of the marsh was pretty and we loved the open flow. The rooms were all spacious and comfortable. It was only a short walk to the beach. Overall, an enjoyable vacation!

Nice place, easy access to beach and the bridge across the marsh. Porches in front and back were nice, it worked very well for 6 people. We would definitely come back.

It was quiet and the screened in porch was lovely . Not to far from beach and house was great place to go to . My family loved it !

Everything about the house was wonderful! We especially loved the short walk (about 4 minutes) to the beach.

This property had lots of potential - great layout and space, huge kitchen. But it needs some love. Furniture was not comfortable - huge sofas that you just sunk into. No chairs, except dining and one in main bedroom - and the cushion was nasty/stained. Rack in kitchen sink needed a good scrub - black stuff growing on it. Spots on carpet with a nasty spill by the bed. Bedspread needed laundering. Shower head was black with mildew. Back porch was covered with cobwebs and spiders - seating was a tattered old futon and a loveseat with faded/dirty cushions… and the screen was torn and tired. Front had only 2 Adirondack chairs. They did come clean off the back porch and also brought rocking chairs while we were there. House sleeps 6 but only 4 dinner plates in the kitchen. Lots of potential, but lots of love needed by owners and rental company. Great space but just not a comfortable house to relax in.

We enjoyed our stay but wasn’t a fan of the linen people showing up 2 days prior to our departure. I get it was for the next guest but can that not be done on the day of our departure? House was in a great location just a few blocks from the beach as well as close to everything which was convenient. But the master bedroom was absolutely terrible who sleeps on a rock??!!! The bed was sooo uncomfortable, there was no foam support honestly my husband and I debated on sleeping in the floor. Then of course the internet going in and out during our stay but what sucked worse is the fact we couldn’t access ANY tv on our last night due to the internet being out. Which was alil frustrating. We were also disappointed the house didn’t have a grill but the kitchen was fully stocked. The outside shower could use just regular pavement not little steps here and there due to one wrong step and you would hurt your foot or step on something uncomfortable. The garage was stocked full on sand toys and our girls enjoyed it but would have been great to enjoy a nice bike ride on the beach but one of bikes seats had rusted and you couldn’t adjust it to your level. We all enjoyed our stay and had a memorable family vacation. Great location and very convenient to everything.

Loved the house - clean, open, light, super cute, great for playing board games and making food. Bedrooms pretty well insulated from noise in the front of the house. Two nice porches, screened in porch on the back. Super great location, nice quiet neighborhood, lots of mature vegetation around, short walk to the beach. Fantastic outdoor shower - one of the highlights! However, queen size mattress was pure junk - so difficult for a couple to sleep on, single bed mattresses not much better. Dishwasher was broken (pieces missing that prevented the spray action from working as it should) - dishes with food stuck to them in the cabinets when we arrived, and pots and pans that were dirty/greasy when we arrived. Dryer left black streaks on two white shirts. We contacted customer service who were great at apologizing, but nothing was resolved during our stay. If these issues were addressed, we would definitely consider returning.

Nice property that is clean and nicely furnished that doesn't break the bank. Pleasant walk to beach with marsh in the back (dont forget bug spray) that offers back porch privacy. Will definitely book again!

We have been coming to OKI for several years and my family agreed this property was top of the list. Clean, well stocked kitchen, open floor plan with lots of space. The property is close to beach access, what more could you ask for. Would recommend to others and would love to rent this property again.

We had a few hiccups when we first arrived but the team quickly made things right! Plenty of parking and we loved the 3 porch options! The kitchen is stocked with all the necessity’s! We come every year memorial weekend and this has been one of the best trips we’ve taken! They came and took trash to the road for us on trash days! We have no bad things to say!
