Walk to beach & marina! Beautiful, luxury family retreat - Farmhouse Cottage

We are so blessed to be able to share time with our family in such a welcoming space. All our needs were met in this rental.

Vic and Laurie have been amazing hosts! The property is very well stocked, and it has been such a cozy place to spend Christmas. We would definitely recommend staying here!

We loved the old farmhouse and all the history of it. Old farmhouse charm with all the modern amenities. We would hands down recommend to someone heading to Holland for a getaway. Wish we would have had more time to explore the area.

Loved the area we stayed in. Although cold and windy and some rain came we enjoyed a chilly Lake MI sunset and was close to Holland to explore.

We arrived in Michigan for a very short family get together. We have two adult sons, and one with a girlfriend. Our stay at the farmhouse cottage was perfect. Plenty of space for all of us, so beautiful and spacious outside, too.. I would love to stay there for more than just a couple days. The owners Laurie and Vic, were always so open to communication. The cottage was perfectly located in a small Marina town. We loved the restaurants nearby, recommendations were used. The beds were very comfortable, which is unusual when going away… My husband and I were so pleased with this rental. Coming from California you never know if what you look at is going to be what you get. Thank you, Laurie and Vic! We greatly appreciate your care and hospitality.

This home worked well for our girls trip with 6 of us as it had plenty of room for us. The home was clean and comfortable. It was well equipped for families and large groups. The owners were very responsive and the check-in / check-out process was easy. The neighborhood was quiet and everything we wanted to do was within a 20 minute drive from the house.

Loved this cottage and it was a perfect fit for my family and my parents to stay at for a family reunion. Location was ideal and so close to the beach! Spent a lot of time on the front deck in the mornings, saw deer and lots of songbirds.

Check in was seamless and the house was very clean, well equipped and worked out great!

What a wonderful stay! Beautiful cozy home so close to everything in Holland! Loved our stay, very clean.

A comfortable and clean house with plenty of room for our family of seven. We cooked most of our meals, and the kitchen was adequately equipped for that purpose. The close proximity to fresh local produce made for delicious meals. The area offered so many fun opportunities that in five days we couldn’t do them all. I guess we will need to come back!

Excellent house for a great weekend at the beach. Close in proximity to Holland Beach State Park, highly recommend biking to the park vs. driving, the line to get into the park can get quiet long, esp on the weekends. The backyard is stocked and is nice, the only thing is that the house is on a corner, and one of the streets has a speed limit of 55 MPH and there is no fence.

The home was a historic home with good accommodations. Love the kitchen table for entertainment and pizza night. Family room was comfortable and a great place to take an afternoon nap. The upstairs is the only part of the listing that isn’t a five star. The top bunk beds upstairs are not suitable for anyone over four feet tall. The roof line drops down creating a claustrophobic environment.

We participated in Bike MS ride and came a few days early to enjoy the area. House is a short walk to a small beach. A longer walk (we took car with little kids) to Holland St park, Tunnel park, and hiking. Yard was great foe playing with kids.

Good location, pleasant walk to the beach. Appreciated the games at the house. Planned on using the bikes but never did. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and utensils.

We were in town for a graduation and to enjoy the beach. This was the perfect place to have our large group stay. The bikes, games, and movies kept the kids happy. The weather was chillier than expected so I really appreciated all of the extra blankets around the house. The front porch room was so cute and cozy to curl up with a book. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the great stay!

Quiet and convenient location for exploring Holland and the Ottawa Beach area. Bring your bike or walking shoes to explore the area as you can go for 10's of miles right out of the driveway. A fantastic restaurant, The Reservoir, is within walking distance and we visited several times.

This house was great for our stay in Holland to attend a function at Hope College. It had everything we needed for a nice weekend. Would stay here again.

The Farmhouse Cottage was everything we expected. It’s a residential home, but it sits on a spacious .5 acre lot. It’s quiet and cozy. Everything you need is provided and if you forgot to bring something there are plenty of convenience stores and large grocery options. We were looking to taste some of the regions wines and fall produce. There’s plenty of that within an hours drive. There are other interesting sites available too. And if there’s bad weather Laurie and Vic have provided a lot of indoor games to keep you and your family occupied. You won’t be disappointed.

This house had so many amenities. It was well stocked and cozy. Perfect for our family weekend!

We loved the proximity to the lake from the house and the ability to ride there on bikes. Our boys also enjoyed getting to fish nearby and caught their first white perch. Our four kids were also happy there were enough beds to where they didn’t have to share. The hosts were easy to reach and very responsive. We felt that, for the price, it offered a great location and we were provided a lot of things that were nice to have access to, like the bikes and sand toys, etc.

The property was as described in the listing. We were a group of women and felt very safe. The neighborhood was quiet. The house had everything a family could need or want. The kitchen was stocked, lots of games, plenty of outlets, a full length mirror, etc. We mostly enjoyed the HUGE kitchen table! If we return to Holland, we will stay here again.

The neighborhood is not at all what was expected. It is a little on the rundown side. There are some well kept homes and some homes that are not taken care of at all. The house has plenty of room for many people to sleep, including children, but it was not the cleanest place we’ve stayed. Overall it was a decent house but the pictures were a little misleading.

Beautiful home in Holland! Close to both lakes and beaches! Lots of space to spread out and the kids enjoyed all the games and books! Highly recommend.

Great house to stay in for our family of 5. Beautiful home, very clean with cold A/C. We loved that the location was very close to the convenient store, the beach and state park. Even though its in a neighborhood, we saw deer a few mornings in the yard. We would definitely rent here again!

We stayed at this very comfortable home for three weeks with various family members coming at different times. We had a wonderful time! This home is very accommodating with all the thoughtful amenities provided. We loved the coffee bar! We loved being close proximity to all the beaches and having bikes to ride to them. And the large shady backyard was great for campfires and corn hole and allowing the kids space to run around. We sat on the deck pretty much every morning and evening. It was just a wonderful place to spend family time together.
