Walk to Beach: Arrowhead Lake Home

Needs some fixing. Low water pressure-grill was shot couldn’t use- couldn’t start fire place living room furniture a minus 10. But still a beautiful place!

The screen was ripped and the one toilet paper holder was broken. Other than that it was a great place to stay! Nice house, extra blankets and towels etc. clean, Right on the lake, great fishing, and the area had a bunch of fun things going on the whole weekend. I would get someone to go clean the dryer vent though, that can be a fire hazard.

What we liked:The life jackets seemed pretty new and in good shape. The place looks pretty close to the pictures in the listing. In addition to concerns mentioned in the June reviews: - The driveway: there is a large crevasse from water running down it. Our tall cars were fine, low to the ground vehicles had to be very careful. - The smoke detectors had dead batteries. We replaced them. - The kitchen floor has spots where boards are loose or bulging up, it appears there’s mold damage on the floor on both sides of the refrigerator - AC: There are two portable AC units: 1 in the kitchen and 1 in an upstairs bathroom- Repair man showed up unannounced - Communication between us and the person we were to ask questions of, etc was challenging- there is a dehumidifier on the lower level with no instructions on use, emptying, etc that we could find

Great place for a nice family weekend!

The listing promised central AC, but we arrived to two small portable units that couldn’t adequately cool the home at night. The master bathroom was unusable due to dirty, foul-smelling water left in a broken tub by the previous guest. They offered to have someone come drain it and we declined. We didn’t want someone we didn’t know in the property while we were there or with our stuff while out, attempting to drain a broken tub bucket by bucket and spreading the stench. We just closed the door and considered it a loss. The Adirondack chairs pictured were broken and piled in the yard for us to find, with no replacements, and the propane tank was empty on arrival. Kitchen supplies and bathrooms were dirty and damaged. The home is neglected and in need of serious TLC inside and out, and the property management needs to step it up, too. We booked with confidence because it was listed by a hospitality group, but Evolve didn’t stand behind their “Check Out Happy” guarantee or resolve any of our concerns. They knew about the central AC bait and switch, broken tub filled with stinky water and broken chairs before our arrival and gave no heads up. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this property and from Evolve.

The camp could use some work and a deep cleaning. Pretty rough property, especially compared to the neighbors. Lower level smells bad, many of the screens have tears, the fire pit area is uneven and stacked with broken plastic chairs. Living room furniture was old and uncomfortable and the towels were a random assortment. But the beds were comfortable and sheets were soft and perfectly white. Enough space for us all to visit together for a family weekend. The checkin process was terrible. The request for the gated community registration fees came in the form of a text from the property contact, with a Venmo tag and rush request that felt like a scam. I think it was legit in the end. The checkin office address was incorrect and the QR code to enter the community was sent to the wrong email. We eventually got that straightened out with Arrowhead Rentals, since the property contact did not answer the phone. We still had a nice time together but I would not recommend.

Property was unkept, in disrepair and garbage laying around the property. The inside was clean with everything we needed, except, the property listing on both vrbo and airbnb said there was central air and there was not. I would not have booked the house if I had know there was no AC. It was 80 degrees during our stay and we needed it. They need a new property manager. I emailed concerns right when I arrived 4:30pm and Lorin did not respond until the next morning at 10am. After our stay I emailed Lorin twice and she did not respond. I felt like they had my money so it didn't matter how I was treated. I was very disappointed.

My family and I truly enjoyed the Arrowhead Community! The hosts at 1465 were very kind and the home was super cozy. We made it to Beach 4 which was nice. There weather was not so cooperative so it cut down on the places we were able to utilize. But overall we were truly satisfied and appreciative of the accommodations. We had an emergency and had to come in late to the place. They adjusted the schedule and allowed us to leave a day later. Property manager Lorin was truly exceptional! We plan to visit in the future.

The location was perfect for relaxation, beautiful views of the lake. The house was comfortable and had all the basic necessities required.However, some improvements are needed with regard's to housekeeping.I will be visiting again.
