Quaint cabin, small. Definitely no more than 2 people or small family of 4. No A/C upstairs. Just a double bed upstairs with 2 twins in same area. Road to cabin is very hard to find and bumpy dirt road. Cabin address not marked or described well. We had to park up by road and walk down to see what cabin looked like picture. Cannot use wood stove.

We truly love staying in this home. It's in a wonderful spot, and we have enjoyed returning multiple years in a row. This year, though, we were a bit disappointed that an automatic light was installed on the dock that made it difficult to enjoy the true dark skies we've come to love. There was no way to turn it off, and so our stargazing wasn't nearly as vibrant as it was in past years. We hope that light will have some sort of on/off switch in the future.

Good but tv did not work upstairs in bedroom. The 2nd light in the kitchen did not work either. Beautiful view of the lake.

This is our second time in 3 years staying here. We stayed the year in between at a different address with another couple, but preferred this location, which brought us back! For one couple, this is absolutely the most practical and well equipped home. The owners have provided evrything necessary for you to bring in your own groceries and coffee, and I felt at home preparing meals with their cookware. The view is understated in all photos. If you sit in the living room and look out the wall to wall windows, you see nothing but water! It literally looks like the house is on an island! Eccellent location on the lake, and a super short drive to town and provisions. We will be booking again for next year!

I've been staying in camps around Moosehead Lake for over 50 years, but I must say this was the most enjoyable! A classic old camp but one that has gradual updates to include a dishwasher, full kitchen that is well equipped, a nice flat screen television, and gas grill. We did stay during one of the hottest weeks of the summer but the ceiling and floor fans along with the lake breeze made it very comfortable. The view from the living room is like being on a boat in that you have water views on three sides with great sunsets every night! Some reviewers complain about the slow Internet, and it is terribly slow but in this area of Maine you really don't have good, wired options for the Internet. You can get good cellular reception (I have AT&T). We were able to browse websites and get email, but streaming was not an option. The camp road is about a mile long and quite rough on the hill section which gets washed out frequently. While you can make it in a car a higher clearance vehicle is recommended. They apparently just rent this as a one-bedroom unit and lock the downstairs bedroom so it is really best for a couple or young family. We also found the queen bed to be wonderfully comfortable. We really enjoyed our week and hope to come back again in the future. Thank you to the hosts, whoever you are, we appreciate you sharing your special place!
