Las Cruces, New Mexico
Villa Petunia is one of two independent casitas at Las Villas. Budget friendly, this small home is a hodgepodge of Adobe from the turn of the (last) century and more modern additions with all the creature comforts of home near to almost everything Las Cruces has to offer.
We enjoyed our stay here immensely. We have been curious about Las Cruces for awhile & came down with our pups to check out the area, especially the hiking trails. The house was exactly as described on the site but more spacious and comfortable than we expected. It is in a neighborhood that people consider sketchy, but in no way dangerous. We walked our dogs down to Nessa’s Cafe & enjoyed fantastic coffee. The hiking is out of this world, quite literally if you go to White Sands, soooo many trails to choose from . The house & yard were clean and we had zero problems during our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Las Cruces is a special town, the people are so friendly & the pace of the town was refreshing.
This was such a cute property. Nicely decorated. The location was very accessible to everything. We will definitely stay again.
Took several times to get the door lock to work. Very clean. There was a problem with some of the lights, they did not work. The light switch when you come in the front door and the kitchen lights would not come on. Had to open the refrigerator light to see in the kitchen. Only stayed one of the two nights.
The house was an amazing deal - yes, the location maybe isn't the best but we never felt bothered by the people or the noise. Our small dogs were traumatized by all the large, loudly barking dog neighbors during our nightly walks, but other than that we had no issues. We accidentally locked ourselves out by locking both doorknob locks, and Casey came by to let us in with no problem. The only thing I might change/add would be some salt and pepper in the kitchen and some small side tables (or sofa tables) next to the couch (which is SO comfortable!). Thanks for a great stay!
We are absolutely surprised when we walked into the house to find that the only bathroom was located and the main bedroom in front of the house. This is absolutely inconvenient with us needing to use the restroom at night and continuously woken up throughout the night with people need to use restroom. I think this is something you should adjust on your listing so people are fully aware of the layout in the house. I would have not rented if I knew.
This house worked out great for us! We'll stay here again if a need arises. Very clean, very pet friendly, completely fenced yard. A bit noisy with some truck traffic in the mornings and some neighborhood dogs barking, but nothing unexpected. You do need to go through one bedroom in order to use the bathroom but that wasn't a problem. Thumbs up from us!
I experienced an issue with a dog across the street invading our gated space. I contacted the host and she came out within 15 minutes and addressed the issue and made arrangements to secure the dog on its own property. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Super cute, rough neighborhood
Cute and cozy stay. Comfortable beds, clean, and perfect size for couple and dog! Gated yard was excellent for our pup to roam.
The house was nicely furnished and very clean. Neighborhood seemed a little sketchy, but the night was quiet and uneventful. We did have a problem with not enough hot water, but the owner apologized and said it was a new water heater, so that is probably a non-issue. Over all a comfortable and nice stay.
beds were comfy neighborhood seemed little sketchy but the gate did help in feeling little more secure we did see couple bugs but overall had good stay
Was in town for my daughter’s volleyball tournament and brought our puppy with us. Was a super cute and well maintained home. The bed was comfy and place was clean and ready for us. Back and front yard were perfect running areas for the puppy. The side parking and gated property helped us feel at ease in the evening. Will use property again if we are back in LC
