Stayed Oct 19, 2021Trains came by so often we never were able to sleep. Also, there is only one bathroom and it’s on the first floor so if you’re bedroom is upstairs it’s quite a trek.

Stayed Mar 20, 2026We had a fantastic time at Villa Del Lago! It felt like the owners thought of everything to accommodate! The area was lovely and we felt right at home. The place was clean and well cared for. A suggestion to those staying, just be sure to leave a little time to go through the check out procedures. I’m not as well versed in home rentals so was surprised to find we needed to take out the trash, etc. but those who are frequent fliers for home rentals will find it easy peasy! We’d go back in a heartbeat! Thanks for a great weekend.

Stayed Feb 26, 2026Great house in a cute town! Amazing location on the lake with great views! The house was perfect for our group of 7 with plenty of seating and has everything you need for a comfortable stay! Host was great with checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. Easy walk to the shops and restaurants in town. Highly recommend!

Stayed Nov 9, 2025Very clean, spacious and cozy. Host has everything to make you feel at home and welcomed- kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. Would sleep quite a few people. Beautiful lake view. Train was not a problem at all- no horn location. Close to Redwing for shopping and good food.

Stayed Oct 30, 2025The house was as described. Mind you the railroad runs between the house and the lake and trains run often. Even so, the noise was not disturbing to those in the upstairs bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom could you another door, but guests were able to sleep well.

Stayed Sep 14, 2025The lake views were beautiful. Location was great. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was updated but tight. One bathroom might not be enough for a house that sleeps 10. Plenty of table space in two dining areas. We think a former resident may have unknowingly locked us out of watching the TV. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

Stayed May 24, 2025We had a great time during our stay. The house is clean and supplied with everything you need. Lots of natural light and windows to enjoy the fresh air. It was walking distance to the lake, market and restaurants. It was very easy to get in contact with the host and we had no hassle at all checking in/out. We would stay again at this property.

Stayed Apr 22, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The open, expansive view of the river was exactly what I needed as a break. Some great decisions were made about furnishings, like the table in the sunroom and the one on the deck. The double glass windows do a lot to muffle the train noise. We've stayed along these tracks before and this was definitely the quietest. Everything was clean and in excellent working order EXCEPT the bathtub/shower drain. It really breaks up the ambiance to have to stand in 3-4 inches of soapy, scrummy water while showering. The bath mat was getting slippery and there is nothing to hold on to. Trying to rinse my feet and ankles off was a trick. I believe an earlier review complained about this drain. If it's been cleared since, perhaps it needs maintenance after each stay.Might as well have the shower experience live up to the rest of the nice stay!

Stayed Feb 21, 2025We came to the area for Grumpy Old Men Days in Wabasha and this was a perfect place for our group of 6 to have a home base. Beds and seating for everyone without feeling we were on top of each other. The decor was very nice and the place felt very homey. We were even treated to 2 beautiful sunsets over the lake. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy place with a fantastic view.

Stayed Jan 27, 2025The house was exactly like the description in the listing. Nice quiet neighborhood. The train that goes by does go by about every 20 to 30 minutes but they do not blow the whistle as they are going by. The hosts are very nice and try to do everything they can to make accommodations

Stayed Aug 23, 2024We loved the location. Walked down to the beach, watched so many eagles flying in and all the kids loved the trains. It’s a beautiful home and fit our big family. With that said, after spending over $1,000 for our weekend stay I had higher expectations. We found blood on a set of sheets/bedding. The shower drain was so clogged the tub filled halfway while showering and after spilling water on the floor we wiped it up and the paper towel was black.
