Stayed Jul 29, 2023We have been back a few weeks in London and are missing Bidart greatly. We spent a delightful three weeks in this very comfortable and easy property over the summer. It is not a pretentious property at all but extremely easy to live in and hugely relaxing. We had two teenagers and a dog with us and it just worked on so many levels. The swimming pool was an incredible plus and we all used it a great deal with fun pool inflatables galore. The house is clean and tidy and has everything you need and more. You are not over looked and it’s in a very quiet neighbourhood on its own little road. It is extremely dog friendly as it’s totally secure. (Everyone in the area has a dog) Our dog was introduced to all the hedgehogs in the garden much to his and our amusement. One other incredible plus staying in the house was the sky at night. There is little light pollution in this area and we have never seen such amazing stars in our life. The owner Nicolas is very hospitable, kind and extremely helpful and was always available when necessary. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for him. Bidart is a beautiful village with stunning views of the Pyrénées and comes with an incredible town square where you can sit and eat tapas with views and watch Pelota. There is a massive supermarket a short drive away with everything you need and a really good pizza take away a little further down the road. The beaches are a drive away but so worth it.
