Villa 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Swimming pool 2.5 km from the center of Ile Rousse

The host was very helpful in arranging entrance to the property and organising a taxi service due to location of property to l'ile-Rousse. The intertior was pleasant enough but varies from the description and photographs shown. The villa is very well stocked wi th equipment, however no teatowels to dry up with. a huge negative is the description of the villa cleverly forgets to mention that the other side of the fence is a railway track irrespective of two trains a day I would not have chosen the villa if I had known. The rooms were comfortable but it didnt mention that upstairs the toilet is separate to the bathroom, so you have to wait if someone is in the bathroom to wash hands after toilet. Ample towels were provided.The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen doesnt show there is a big damp patch in the corner of the kitchen and the bedroom downstairs had a window covered over in plastic and tape and only lamps to light the room. Outside on the decking area the pool was heated but the outside is not as prestigne as the photos with little evidence of cleaning on arrival, with lots of cobewebs in situ and leaves just left in a corner of the decking. the walls are very dirty and in need of painting. I understand that decor changes but the photos clearly are old and do not represent the current situation. we had to text for the wifi code as the manual for the property gave different codes and even though it states satellite and cable tv...this is only french tv and for 3 days there was no connection. The were some positives to the villa but based on the price we paid for the week and the cleaning costs we also had to pay this doesnt reflect a good stay and I wouldnt choose to stay here again.
