I stayed at Debby’s house a few nights over Christmas week with my wife and 3 kids. I LOVE staying here!!! It is tucked away with beautiful views of Tripp Lake. The house is very comfortable and clean with a lot of space for the family to spread out but great rooms for us to spend quality time together. The plan was ski a few days but Mother Nature didn’t cooperate so only made it to Whiteface 1x. This house is an easy drive to Gore or a little longer to head up to Lake Placid. But the drive is awesome thru the ADKs. Debby was such a great host. Very responsive and professional. This was the second time I’ve stayed here and will definitely be back again!!
As soon as you drive up to this house its like you’re home. It’s so welcoming and charming. Then walking in with all your belongings, finding your way around the place, running to find “your” bedroom….was a thrill !! Time for a cocktail after all that, but where. The huge deck off the living room of course. Opening that sliding door to a breathtaking view of the huge trees and the sparkling lake, was all we needed. You will find this your fav place to unwind dream talk laugh and breath in that fresh Adirondack air. So go for it you won’t be disappointed. Close to many fun spots/good restaurants, ie: Lake George
This property is an excellent place to relax, with a view of the lake and being in the trees - like a tree house. We enjoyed local attractions and the lake- canoeing and swimming. My grandson asked if we could come back here next year. My son and his family are biding from Germany and always live staying a few days in the Adirondacks. I highly recommend this very comfortable home.
Debby’s house was an exceptional place to vacation with my mother, wife & our 2 boys. The lake was so much fun to swim and canoe in. The house was very clean, well stocked and a great home base for everything in the Adirondacks. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here if we are in the area again. Highly recommended!
Property was just as described. Clean and comfortable. Very peaceful by the lake. We went canoeing daily. It was just what we needed while spending time away from our homes in Long Island and Queens. Debby the owner was a pleasure to deal with, as she was very informative and responsive with any questions I had. We would definitely stay here again.
This was our fourth year staying at the lake house - we love it! Beautiful lake great for swimming, floating, and kayaking; great location and a very clean and comfortable house!
We have been coming to Mountain Lane for 3 years. We love the house and Tripp Lake. Clean, comfortable and Deb is a wonderful owner. We will be back again!
It was the perfect place to gather with my family, my three children and their spouses and three grandchildren, 4 yo, 2 1/2 yo, and an almost two year old. We enjoyed the beach, kayaking and paddle-boarding. The house was spacious with enough spaces that we could gather together for meals or games or have some private space as needed. A pleasure to cook in the well-stocked kitchen. Beautiful location.
This was a great vacation spot for my family and me (wife and 2 kids). The house was spacious, well stocked will all kitchen necessities, and very comfortable!! We had the ability to spend time together in the family room or to spread out. I think I counted 5 couches! We stayed in December and wish it was a little colder (and snowier for skiing) and to enjoy the beautiful frozen lake right out front!!! There are great decks overlooking the lake! This house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood which was exactly what we were looking for. There isn’t much around there, so we came prepared with food and snacks. We skied Whiteface which was a little over an hour north. But it was a beautiful drive! We hoped to ski Gore the next day (about 25 min away) but weather didn’t cooperate. Debby was super responsive to all my questions (thank you for that!). We stay at VRBOs all around upstate NY and Vermont to ski and this was one of my favorites. And can say with certainty that we will be returning!!!
Excellent place!
very nice home, well stocked with things you need to make it feel like home.
This is our second year staying at this property. I have spoken to the owner, Debbie, and it was her home where she raised her family. It is still a home that feels like a home. It’s quiet comfortable well supplied and has a wonderful lake for a lot of adventure and relaxation. We will definitely go back every year she allows us to do so.
We could not asked for a better place for a Friends Getaway. Tripp Lake Retreat was perfect! It was spacious and homey, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen well stocked. The lake was beautiful and such easy access for our kayak and canoes. We loved hanging out on the front porch drinking our morning coffee and reading our books. It was a lovely week!! Debby was especially attentive and gracious when Wi-Fi was out for 5 days and dealt with the problem as quickly as she could. All in all we had a great time and look forward to reserving it again in the near future. I highly recommend it!!
This is our third time staying at the lake house and we love it! Very clean. The lake is quiet and peaceful and great for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, etc.
Great getaway with a clean private Lake so close to the property. Swim, boat and relax all day...
Excellent location! Peaceful and relaxing. Close enough to all attractions. Had so much fun taking the canoes out and swimming. Well equipped! Definitely would rent again. Thanks so much, Debby!
We have stayed at Tripp Lake for several years. The house was well equipped and very clean. The beach like lake access was very family friendly; our grandchildren really enjoyed themselves. Owners were easy to communicate, answering all of our questions quickly. Would highly recommend this place.
Great property. Relaxing space to connect with family. Lots of stairs - something if you are traveling with older folks you’ll want to consider. Beautiful pond. Wishing it had its own private fire pit.
This property hit all the marks for us. My son played the piano all weekend, we took short trips to great hikes and famous natural locations, morning canoe ? paddles and evening fires. Also, I have to mention the incredible deck space! There was plenty of space for two small families to share. We can’t say enough about this property. Only that we hope to be back next year!
