Wonderful little duplex shared with the host. Lissa was welcoming and had some small treats waiting for our arrival. She explained local sights both in person and via her well written guide book. The house is cute and quaint and close to major attractions in Ottawa. Definitely recommend this quiet spot.

The house is very cute, with little surprises and artwork everywhere. Lissa is very responsive and yet not intrusive at all. Good cafe, a sandwich shop and a bagel shop within a couple of minutes walk. Another 10-15 minutes walk to a supermarket, restaurants. As noted in the house description, this house is not convenient for a group who may want more privacy as there is only one bathroom inside the main bedroom and visitors and those who stay in the second bedroom has to go inside the main bedroom to access the bathroom. But for single, couple, families or even close friends, I find that is not an issue.

This lovely turn of the century home is ideally located for a visit to Ottawa. It is two blocks from the Canadian Museum of History and a 15 minute walk across the Alexandre Bridge to Parliament Hill. There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance too. We had our bikes with us which allowed us to take advantage of the 200 plus kilometer urban bike path network. Our hosts, Lissa and Michael are very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here!

We loved this beautiful, comfortable home away from home. Perfect location for 5 days of exploring museums, galleries, theatre, canal and river and even the spectacular fireworks! Lissa was the perfect host, helpful but not intrusive!

We greatly appreciated our stay in Gatineau. The property is walking distance from downtown Ottawa with loads of restaurants nearby. Thanks to our host Lissa, who provided many excellent recommendations on attractions and places to eat. Would recommend to anyone with a family for an extended visit to the region.

My coworker and I stayed at this location during our trip for work. Such a nice unit in a beautiful location. Lissa was friendly and gave us suggestions on places to go, and was super helpful/ made herself available when we couldn’t figure out the AC. Only thing is I’d recommend staying here with someone you’re very comfortable with as the only washroom located in the unit is inside one of the bedrooms, and one of the bedrooms does not have a door. No complaints though, we really enjoyed our stay and we’ll definitely come back when we’re in town again!!

My daughter and I enjoyed 5 days at the house while my daughter attended a conference at the history museum. Location is ideal for walking across the bridge and exploring Ottawa. Lissa was a welcoming and responsive host. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderfully located for a visit to the Ottawa/Gatineau area. A well-appointed, charming home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. 6 mins across the bridge from Parliament; short walk to History Museum.

Charming turn of the century home , centrally located in downtown Gatineau Quebec. Check- in was seemless, and parking was conveniently located in a lot adjacent to the home. The property was cozy, clean and charming. It was fantastic to return after a busy day with family and friends in Ottawa to this cozy oasis and read a book. Conveniently located next to a great bagel and coffee shop and within minutes of all the tourist spots of the greater Ottawa region.

House was fantastic with super comfortable beds, pillows and sofa. The vibe is eclectic with unique art work and other items. Walking distance to many restaurants and places of interest. The host Lissa was the best and honestly I can’t say enough good things about her. She gets back to you very quickly if you text her for information. If in the area again would definitely rent this again.

I came to Gatineau for some GOC work and this was the perfect place to stay. Homey, great value, great commute to HQ and into Ottawa. Lissa is a friendly, kind, communicative host. You really can’t go wrong with this place!

The location of this property is wonderful. There's a yummy little sandwich shop just a couple doors down, where you can also pick up milk and a few other essentials. Parking is available just steps away for a very small fee. Ottawa is just across the river. To get there, we rented bikes and rode over the Alexandra bridge, which is closed to car traffic and features a wonderful view of the Parliament buildings as you cross. Oh and I almost forgot the bagel shop around the corner -- we had fresh bagels for breakfast almost every day. The host was wonderful as well. She was very friendly and incredibly attentive. She gave us great suggestions for things to do in the area. I would note that the apartment has 2 floors - which we loved because it gave us space to spread out -- so you need to be able to do stairs.
