Santa Fe, New Mexico
Nestled on Galisteo Street, one of Santa Fe's oldest, this exceptionally cozy and authentic casita resides in the historic Eastside, mere blocks from Canyon Road and the Santa Fe Plaza. Retaining its authenticity, the casita boasts thick adobe walls and traditional vigas in the ceiling. A small window in one of the bedrooms offers a unique view of the mud blocks (adobe) that form the charming home. Updated to offer modern comfort, the home preserves features popular during its construction, such as wide window sills. The bathroom is adorned with vibrant wall tiles that infuse energy into your stay. Providing amenities like comfortable beds, a spacious living room, a dining room with a gas fireplace, TV, internet, washer/dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen, this home ensures a delightful experience. Step into the enclosed courtyard off the dining area for a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon wine.
A friend and I stayed at this charming casita and absolutely loved it. The decor is unique but still very comfortable. The interior courtyard was fantastic place to have morning coffee and breakfast. The walk to downtown and the plaza is through a pretty adobe neighborhood, as well. Driving to museum hill was also very easy - great location! We were there in August, which is very hot during the day, so the casita was very warm in the evenings. However, if you open the windows and get a cross breeze, it will cool down quickly once the sun goes down.
