Vail mountain house! 5 bedrooms plus loft. Hot tub!

Lots of rooms with a really nice kitchen.

Our group of ski friends had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect, property well kept and everything was as advertised. When a minor issue arose, the owner was very responsive and it was corrected quickly. This property will stay on our preferred list for future trips to the area! Highly recommend!

What a cool house! This was fantastic for our large group. Plenty of beds, big kitchen, and really comfy common spaces.

We were excited to find a place that could accommodate or group of five without excess unused rooms, for our annual snowboarding trip. Unfortunately a number of serious lapses made or stay mediocre instead of memorable.Let’s start with a positive. Great communication and direction to the property, which is located in the Hills of Beavercreek. The view from the front porch was beautiful, especially with the fresh powder that coincided with arrival. Having a large open concept kitchen, which floated into the living room and dining room, made it the preferred gathering spot for our group chats and dinners. Now the issues:1. Upon arrival, we discovered towels stuffed in one of the bedroom drawers. Not just any towel towels, but towels soiled with heavy menstrual blood that smelled. Upon bagging and disposing of it ourselves in the garbage bin outside we notified the host. The response was.” sorry, we did not have the cleaning people check the drawers”. Nothing else!2. This place severely lacks proper cleaning. Built up cobweb and dust on the fans, and decorative accessories. Soiled chairs etc. 3. We can see an honest attempt at home reno, but result is more of a disaster. Unpatched holes that are cut in the walls and ceilings., 30% of recessed lights do not work, switches that do nothing, worn out counter stools, no covering over bathroom window that looks out into the backyard, etc. 4. The most annoying issue was the lack of reliable Wi-Fi. That is all.

We had a good stay. However, make sure to be prepared for the very steep driveway and most likely ( our case) wasn't shoveled. We showed up and couldn't make it up the driveway. We had to shovel for 30-45mins. A lot of ice under as well, so just be warned and be careful in the winter. 3 of us feel really hard walking up the driveway on thick ice. The hot tub was great, but again, the pathway has 1 foot of snow covering it and a bit icy. Again, this was just our experience and they may shovel for the next group.. but just a warning. The space and house was excellent!

The property is spacious and undergone remodeling , especially the first floor. We had a big group and we didn’t have any space issues. The only negative is the driveway wasn’t plowed well and area around hot tub was covered in snow. It was hard to park two-wheel drive cars and very slippery to walk. we only used hot tub once because it was so much snow and ice around it.

Lay out and amenities were great for our group. House has some deferred maintenance and upkeep needs.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing stay at this property. There appears to have been a pre-existing plumbing issue at the house for which the host arranged workers to come address in the middle of our stay. The work exacerbated the problem and caused the upstairs shower to partially flood the downstairs primary bedroom. We stopped using the shower to prevent any damage to the house and informed the host we would expect a partial refund for the new circumstances affecting the duration of our stay. The host replied only after several promptings and refused any compensation. I opened an official claim with VRBO, who again contacted the host to encourage him to discuss the issue with us. The host again refused to engage. Since we attempted to address the issue directly with the host--believing a mutually acceptable solution could easily be found--we did not report the issue directly to VRBO during our stay. As a result, VRBO's policies would not provide for any compensation either. A note to any VRBO customer--if there are issues, report to your host and VRBO immediately--VRBO's policies do not appear to be very customer-friendly should issues arise during stays. Beyond that, the internet was spotty during our stay, requiring us to crawl under the house in the crawlspace to reset the modem and router. The side yard/garage were also full of garbage, old paint cans, etc. Overall, I don't believe the host engaged with us in good faith. Proceed at your own risk.

John was very responsive to all my questions and the house and hot tub is very nice. There is a lot of room, and it’s a quick walk to the golf course. It was clean and has good basics in the kitchen, except there is lots and lots of skillets but only one sauce pan. ;)

The house was pretty comfortable and large enough for our 4 adults and 6 kids, but I don't feel like the description of the home was entirely accurate. While the kitchen was updated, I wouldn't describe the house as a full modern update. I think the max for sleeping in the house should be set at 12. We did see two mattresses stacked in the garage... are those for people to use on the floor somewhere? The big kids were disappointed that we couldn't find the ping-pong table. The coffee pot wasn't fully working- the kurig side sprayed water everywhere and was missing a part. The slider door to the outside of the home was broken- the lock took over ten times of trying to secure it each time and the door wouldn't slide easily so an adult had to use both hands and all their strength to open and close it for kids coming and going to the hot tub. It would have been nice to have more toys available in the kid's room. We didn't spend much time at the house, but I think if we had been there longer, we would have apprecaited a more kid friendly house.

We arrived at 3:55pm and the cleaning lady still had a lot to do. Our party had old people and small kids of 3-4 years old. Because the weather was too cold for us to wait outside, we went inside at 4:01pm to comply with checkin instructions. The lady was by herself trying to finish cleaning the entire first floor. Our family had to help her vacuuming the bedrooms and clean the kitchen, otherwise we would have to wait for at least 30 more minutes. The property owner was extremely unresponsive. He gave us wrong wifi password and did not respond at all when I texted him about water leaking from second floor to the master bedroom for a good few hours. He finally replied to me after I chatted with customer support. And that was on the very first night when we checked in. To make it worse, he never apologized at all for the bad experiences we had. The price was cheaper than other places, but I would rather pay more for much better customer services.
