Urban Oasis: house in the center with garden and AC

This was the best house we stayed at during our two week trip to Portugal. It is a beautiful historic home that has been renovated and restored. It was conveniently located near the Balhao Market and train station. It was large enough for our family of four couples, and had enough seating and dining space for all of us. There was a lovely outdoor area as well where we enjoyed breakfast. Jorge was very responsive to our questions, and sent us a very helpful list of recommendations of things to do during our stay. He even left us a bottle of wine and some delicious treats to enjoy.

Excellent stay all around, this property was by far the nicest place we stayed in our two week vacation. You can tell that the apartment has recently been renovated because it feels brand new. We had a family of four with two adult kids so everyone had their own space/bathrooms. Jorge and Sophia were super responsive with check in and ideas of activities, restaurants, etc. Plus, the location is fantastic. Walkable to the old town river area of Porto. Would love to stay in their place on our next trip to Porto!

We had a fabulous stay at Urban Oasis! It was the perfect location, within walking distance of everything we had planned to do. The property has been recently renovated and is beautiful and very clean. With 4BR/4BA, it was ideal for our girl’s trip. Sofia and Jorge were very gracious hosts. Very helpful and responsive. I wish I could go back tomorrow!

The house is elegant, immaculate and convenient. We found the location to be perfect with many delicious restaurants nearby and the Bolhão Market just a 4 minute walk. We were a group of 9 for 7 nights. We never tired of returning each night to this beautiful home.

My family and I had a lovely stay in Sofia & Jorge's apartment in the city. It's clean, charming and airy with plenty of room to have your own space for a group of 5. The hosts were lovely! My son's birthday was the day we arrived. In our correspondence, I had asked for recommendations for special arrangements for this day. They offered to take over this endeavor since we were arriving late in the afternoon which was greatly appreciated. To further enhance our little celebration at the house they included a bottle of sparkling wine. It was a great way to begin our stay in Oporto. Thank you Sofia & Jorge!

From the moment you walk into this home you are overcome with a sense of beauty and elegance. The owners have done an amazing job with the recent remodel and we felt like we were staying in a luxury villa. The kitchen has everything you need and the location can not be beat.

This property is amazing, beyond expectations and even better than the description and pictures. We stayed as a family of 8 - all adults. Plenty of space, spotless, comfortable, quiet and beautiful. Perfect location and in walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the river, grocery store, everything. Hosts were gracious and helpful and welcomed us with a bottle of Port. We almost didn’t book because of the lack of reviews, DO NOT hesitate. The house was recently completely renovated and now open for renting. My only regret is not staying longer. We were 4 ladies travelling together. Extremely safe neighbourhood. The home was of Portuguese Character, which we loved. Plenty of space. Lots of stairs, but we did not mind this aspect. Location, Location, Location !!!! We appreciated the fact that the owner had arranged airport transfer to the home - and also, we were able to check in early. Everything went very smoothly. Could not have asked for anything more. Would recommend whole heartedly! Re: Home Away Experience - I would like to recommend that Home Away make the payment experience more seamless. As a group, we wanted to pay individually by credit card. This was not acceptable - and therefore - a burden on one persons credit card. I hope this process can be improved.
