Stayed Jul 26, 2025Disappointed and Misled — Not at All as AdvertisedWe booked this home based on the glowing reviews and attractive photos, but unfortunately, our experience was entirely different. As an owner of several short-term rental properties, I have high standards for cleanliness—and this property fell far below them. From the moment we walked in, there was a stale, musty odor coming from the dirty tile floors. The couch was heavily stained and so filthy I couldn’t let my grandchildren sit on it, and there weren’t even extra linens available to cover it. When my granddaughter got into bed, she immediately noticed the sheets were scratchy. Upon checking, we found sand in the bed, a clear sign that the sheets hadn’t been changed. I also suspected one of the pillowcases in my room had been used by a previous guest. The house was extremely warm on a hot day, and while I initially noticed the smell of cleaning products, it became clear that the heat was actually coming from the laundry area. The dryer vent had been disconnected for some time, judging by the amount of lint buildup around it, and instead of repairing it, the cleaning crew had run the dryer—pumping hot air into the house during a record heat wave. It’s incredibly frustrating to feel misled by reviews. I brought my family here for a reunion and ultimately had to cut our trip short by two days because the state of the home was unacceptable. It completely ruined what should have been a special and memorable time together.

Stayed Nov 23, 2024We had a great time at this beautiful home. My family was meeting in Orlando for Thanksgiving week and we snagged this spot for the few of us that came to town early. The home was clean, well stocked, plenty of space and in a nice neighborhood. We had people from 4-52 years old and it was fun for all. Nice game room in the home too. The community pool was really fun and we spent most of our days there. They have a cafe, lazy river, hot tub, a slide and we even played Pickleball and volleyball. You should know that there is a fee to use the community pool. I think I paid around 35 for the group, for all days. My only negative is the hot tub never warmed up enough for us to use, even though we paid for it. But the host quickly refunded our money with no problem. I would recommend this home and I would stay here again.

Stayed Aug 24, 2024We stayed in this villa for our family vacation. Ages were 4 months to 66 years old. We have stayed in the Solterra resort many times and really like this resort however, over the years things have changed. The resort has started charging to use the club house and amenities 35-45 per week per family depending on guest count. They used to not charge for this. They close the pool down every day we were there due to storms and you have to exit the entire pool go home and come back after the storm passes. You also can not bring food or drink there or they will threaten you to leave and not return. The check in process to the resort is slow one night we waited 40 mins to get through and traffic was backed up due to the weekend check ins. As for the house we LOVED! The pool was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. The home had plenty of linens and towels. I also loved the fact that it was cool and the air worked really well. I appreciated the unit having fans in every room to plug in beside your bed and they worked great! The two living rooms was great, the beds were clean and pillows were cozy! We loved playing Pac-Man and ping pong. They also had plenty of toys for the pool in a box. Overall we felt right at home and would recommend this home to our family and friends. Upstay manages the property and huge shout out to them for their quick turn around times to my questions and an easy and seamless booking! Thank you!
