As a retired Air Force officer, I have lived away from my Delaware family for over 30 years. I’ve stayed w family during every one of my trips home until this trip. My kids are college age and we just needed our own space during the crazy Christmas festivities. This property was absolutely perfect. We had plenty of room, great sleep and the house was a super cozy place to retire after socializing all day. Will definitely rent this place again on one of my future trips home! Happy 2024!!
The house remains our favorite among the many VRBO rentals we have used over almost fifteen years. Even cooked an elaborate dinner for 9 in the well-stocked kitchen.
We enjoyed the charm of the home and the neighborhood. Six adults had plenty of space to relax and enjoy our weekend. We would highly recommend this property for a stay in Delaware.
We needed a property to accommodate 4 generations (ages 1-89) for a local family event. The home is in a superb location (quick access to I-95) and on a tree-lined, walkable neighborhood with warm and welcoming decor.
We have nearby older relatives without children, so we have tried to visit them more regularly. Staying at a hotel with two teen-agers and a 20-something became too much. This year, we planned a 10-day stay and rented this house. It was a a great choice. The property is in historic part of Wilmington, and the house fit right in, with a well landscaped outdoors and a nice, time-appropriate interior. A wonderful screened in porch, perfect to avoid the summer mosquitos. A nice launching point to visit relatives in town, head to Philadelphia, see South Jersey and make a reasonable drive to the beach. The owners were responsive about a change in reservation and questions we had before and during the stay.
This property is well-equipped and in a good location. There is enough room for the family to spread out. We had a small issue with the door locks, but the owner was quick to help us out. Will definitely stay here again when I’m Wilmington.
Perfect location to explore Dupont estates, Brandywine River Museum, Longwood Gardens and Mt Cuba. Lovely neighborhood and house. Friendly people. We appreciated the quick response to an issue we had an issue our first night.
The house was perfect for our group, with three bathrooms and separation of the sleeping areas. We took walks along Bancroft Walkway and felt very safe. House was clean and in great repair.
Comfortable and welcoming. Convenient to local attractions.
Overall it was very comfortable. I would say the linens need to be upgraded a bit, they were pretty used. The bathrooms dont really have anywhere to hang or put your toiletries while using them but the water pressure was great!
This is what you want every vacation rental to be--a lovely and beautifully maintained house in a great neighborhood. Better than expected!
We were in town to work the BMW Championship for 10 days and this house was a great solution. There were three adults and it worked out really well. After long days on the course, we enjoyed the many great restaurants in the neighborhood (and even a leftover night at the house). The owners are great and communication was better than most. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely stay here.
We’ve stayed in VRBOs in many places here and abroad. You won’t find a better one. The house, the location, and the host . . . Amazing!
Great location to frequent all the centralized restaurants and attractions yet easy to venture off to the Greenville area and beyond. Can’t wait to rent this wonderful place again when we visit next summer
We have family in the Wilmington area and came for a visit. In order to have our own space, we rented Bancroft Cottage -- it was perfect for us! Each of my 3 college-aged children had his space to unwind and relax after busy days. The house is well-equipped for cooking, but we ate most of our meals off-site. It was very clean and convenient. We'll rent again!
This property was great, it had everything we needed for a home away from home. The property was, minutes from downtown. We would stay here again if we are in the area.
Richard was a pleasure to meet; and the porch became our go-to coffee shop from which we enjoyed the neighborhood.
