Bach is really comfortable with everything you need.

Great notes by the host which helped us navigate the area.The house, beds, amenities of the Bach were all really good, ensuring a relaxing stay with our Labrador.

Once again, a fab stay at this comfortable, easy bach. The place just invites you to kick back and relax. Lizzy is very friendly and approachable. A perfect place to loll about in or come back to after a day on the water.

We arrived quite late but check in instructions were clear and we made our way into the property with no issues. The location is supurb just a hop skip and jump down to the water at the end of the road. The Queen bed has quite a firm mattress, we are used to a soft one but didn't effect our stay too much Communication with the host was easy and I only wish we could have stayed longer

We had a great time in your lovely cottage. It was so comfortable and was very well equipped. It was very peaceful, great for putting your feet up with a good book. Our two small dogs thought it was pretty good as well. Lorraine

We loved our week long stay here. The bach is cosy, comfortable and very well equipped. Nice beds and linen. Lovely quiet spot to relax, our kids and dog enjoyed swimming down near the jetty. Don't miss the walk over the hill to Akaroa for stunning views. Delicious fish and chips at Kaimoana and excellent coffee at The Common. Thanks for having us Lizzie, we hope to return soon.

This place had soooo much more than we thought - literally every need was covered. It’s cute and cosy with outdoor space and in a perfect location. Can’t recommend enough.

We really enjoyed our stay, everything we needed. Great layout of spaces both inside & out. Very comfortable, lovely hot shower.

We loved at time at Takamatua. This cosy little bach is delightful to stay in. We were travelling with three young kids (under 10) and they had a ball - lots of kids books and board games, a nice big backyard and a great outdoor bath! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need, the beds were super comfortable and all the various outdoor seating options made it easy to find a quiet, relaxing space. It’s such a cool little house. It feels cosy, sunny, lived in and well-loved. We really enjoyed our stay there and we look forward to visiting again!

On a friends recommendation, I booked this bach for a get-away family Christmas. It was perfect! Lovely little bach with everything we needed for our 6 night stay. Very well equipped and tastefully decorated with that personal touch. We made the most of the walks in the area, paddle boarding etc, and only a 3 minute drive to Akaroa. The two deck options worked well for us and so great having a fully fenced section for our dog. Stress free! Fantastic communication from the host made things very easy. Excellent base so close to Akaroa and to family who live in Takamatua. House so we'll set up and resources. Back deck is the perfect place to start the day with a coffee in the sun. Lizzie provided amazing communication and the whole process was seemless.

A lovely bolt hole from Christchurch. The bach was comfortable, warm and great outside space for coffee in the morning or a wine at night. Fabulous comms with the owner.

The location was perfect for our stay - very peaceful and only a short drive to Akaroa. The bach was very quaint and had everything that we needed. Enjoyed our stay and would like to come back when it is warmer to do some water activities. The scenery and views on the peninsula are absolutely stunning!
