Stayed Oct 17, 2025We had a wonderful time for our 29th Anniversary Weekend!!! Very private and relaxing. Loved the hot tub experience all weekend long. It was a little unusual when people (we called them Saban’s) showed up on Saturday to mow the grass during our stay. We were inside the screened back porch, but awkward and the smell of fresh cut grass. What a great experience in a sexy shipping container! The perfect private for us and very relaxing, which is what we both needed.Would totally return!!!

Stayed Jun 18, 2025We chose to stay in the shipping container for our mini honeymoon vacation for the beautiful views and unique experience. We were not disappointed. My husband enjoyed playing the arcade game while I got ready and the hot tub was a perfect way to end the day after hiking and exploring waterfalls. The location was conveniently located within 30min-1 hr driving distance to all the places we wanted to visit and we loved for secluded and peaceful it was.

Stayed Mar 28, 2025I'm not kidding when I say this is one of the coolest places I have ever stayed (and I've been a lot of places)! It is the perfect entertaining spot, and also so relaxing and peaceful. I'm already ready to go back

Stayed Nov 29, 2024This was my first experience staying in a shipping container home. The pictures didn’t even come close to doing the rental and surrounding property justice. The property was everything it was described as. The panoramic view of the lake and river were breathtaking. I can’t imagine what it looks like in the midst of fall foliage. The only challenge we had was no fault of the property owners or management company. I have a fear of heights. The drive in hugged the cliffs over the water. There were quite a few switchbacks and the road was a combination of blacktop and gravel. Once we made it, we didn’t leave until check out. There was plenty to do - walk to the lake, use the hot tub, build a campfire, stargaze and more. It did throw a wrench in our plans to hike surrounding waterfalls and visit the adorable town of Cookeville. This won’t impact everyone but others in my position should know.

Stayed Nov 13, 2024The setting is gorgeous and the outside features are nice. We had to move our plans out a week, and the management was helpful to do that, so that bumped the rating up. Yet pictures don't tell the whole story. Don't plan on making food easily. The cooking surface is a very small glass cooktop that has touch controls, but is not inherently obvious on how to operate. Also, since there is no vent hood, cooking fried eggs set off the smoke alarm. The only solution was to keep the window open, which was not fun at outside temps of 45. Using the microwave's bake feature also set off the alarm, though no smoke was visible coming out of the microwave. The interior seating is not comfortable. The 2 futons upstairs were decently stained and thinly padded at best. One comfortable couch would have made a huge difference. Also, there was a plethora of dead bugs around and under the futons. A posted list of Welcome Instructions on how to use the cooktop, hot tub, coffee maker, etc. would have lowered initial frustration. This is a 'tiny' house, so uniqueness is expected, but a few basic changes would make a big difference. While the seclusion is great, and the promise of a unique experience was true (not really in a good way), a return trip is not in the plans.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024My wife and I needed a weekend getaway, and this place was incredible. Despite the incessant rain throughout the weekend, we didn’t mind. The screened porch offered ample space, and the cozy house was perfect for the two of us. We’d definitely be returning!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969What an escape to Center Hill Lake! Me and my husband had the most relaxing and fun time together at the containers. I'm so happy we were able to have a weekend away at this wonderful property.
