The entire home was spotless, comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for. The view from the back of the house is pure forest and you feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. We can't wait to return!
Love the trees and the fireplace and the recliner chairs. Loved the fact that someone turned the heat on for us before arrival! We will be back!
We loved how tucked away in the woods this house is. One day we looked out and saw a coyote trot across the driveway, then heard wolf howls in the forest. Later we saw a mother and baby deer. Also a raccoon on the golf course. We hiked every day and never turned on the TV. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed, though we did bring our own crockpot.
We enjoyed the interesting design of this house and its lovely outlook on the forest. Perfect for our fall getaway.
The best feature of Architect's Masterpiece is the large windows that give views of the Ponderosa pines that surround the house. While the floor plan is somewhat bizarre--there isn't a right angle anywhere to be found--the house has everything you would need for a quiet and peaceful vacation.
Very clean upon arrival and all the right and needed amenities. Good price for a medium size 3 bedroom home. Would rent again
It was very interesting. The upstairs bedrooms provided a sweeping view of the forest all around.
A very unique house. Very clean and in a great location. The furniture was all very well kept and clean. The beds were comfortable. So nice to have 2 full master bedrooms. Great for a couple families at a time. The property was very private with lots of outdoor space. I would definitely recommend this house.
Location, location, location. Having the air-conditioning on the hot days was a real must since there are no window treatments on any of the windows except the primary bedroom.
We loved this house. The natural light coming in through the windows, the orientation of every window so you only see the forest, and the wonderfully comfortable recliners were terrific. Definitely would stay here again! The quiet and private nature of this home retreat was a welcome relief
This home is very well kept up. It is well stocked with everything you need. The wood stove makes it nice and cozy. We love that it is backed up to forested land so no neighbors behind you. The outdoor space is amazing. The deck wrapped around most of the house with many tables, chairs, couches even a hammock. Our family enjoyed the many activities available to play in the outdoor space like horseshoes, volleyball, corn hole and basketball. We only have one complaint about the house and that is that the mattress in the upstairs master bedroom is so hard that it was difficult to sleep on. Overall, except for the mattress, we had wonderful 10 day stay. The quiet peaceful setting of the home made us feel like we were in our own little world.
Great location with lots of privacy in the East Meadow section of Black Butte Ranch. Excellent large outdoor deck with plenty of space for dinner and entertainment. Good two barbecue grills, one flat grill has huge capacity. Upstairs master bedroom has an outdoor porch with good second story views. Additional bedroom on second floor with three beds (two bunked) shares a bathroom with the master. Advertised as suitable for 7 adults, but we think 5 adults maximum much more reasonable--it depends on how cozy you want to be with your fellow family members/guests. Total home square footage not disclosed, but renters should know this. Downstairs bedroom has a king bed, but the room is cut-off, small, and its bathroom is tiny. Kitchen very compact and not well furnished: no electric beater, no large pitcher for water, and a small coffee maker (Mr. Coffee made 5 cups), though we did note a large Keurig coffee maker which we could not use. We would have appreciated a notebook with info about Black Butte Ranch, this home, and contact info about local assistance, though when we called Vacasa on an (800) #, a local person did come, and helped us with questions about the home. Once we made contact with this local person we started to enjoy our stay.
Really ended up being a 2 bdrm, as one room was unusable due to mice coming up through the floor. Also ants everywhere in the sparsely furnished tiny, tiny kitchen. Not a happy camper! Back to VRBO
This is a super cute home. Great location near the entrance to Black Butte. We had 4 adults so the two king size bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect. Upstairs bedroom is the nicest with lots of storage options. Downstairs room could use a chest of drawers. Beds are comfortable. We were surprised to find a new stacking washer/dryer. It was a bit hard to figure out but we were happy to have it! We were also elated to find the new Keurig coffee machine. Luckily, we had brought one with us so we had the coffee pods for it. Both are great additions to the house. The outdoor spaces are amazing! Unfortunately for us, the weather was too chilly to enjoy them. Our only complaint is the acoustics in the house. If you are in the upstairs bedroom, you can hear every conversation downstairs as if the person was sitting on the bed. We didn't really have to use the kitchen. It's small but seems well appointed. We couldn't find any dishwasher soap so we washed our glasses by hand. We loved the gas fireplace which we used tons. Overall, the house was terrific!
